Visiting with Kimberly + Eric is always one of our greatest pleasures. And now that their 18-month-old Lukas is exploring the world on his own, it’s gotten that much more fun! Kimberly related these extraordinary words about their latest photos:

Thank you so much for the beautiful work you have done yet again. It was so great to see you guys and share this fun experience with you as always.

You couldn’t have picked a more perfect location..We are thrilled with the outcome, it was exactly what I had in mind. Although I am not sure I even told you what I was looking for out loud, you must have read my mind. Winery, with a vintage twist…got to love it! PERFECTION!

Taking photos with a small child can be a challenge, and I have to admit I was nervous because Lukas is all over the place these days. You two are so patient and made things so much more relaxing with your carefree attitudes. It made the time an absolute pleasure. I wanted these photos to remember this fun time in our lives with our quickly growing baby boy and you captured every great moment so THANK YOU!

For Eric and I it is like a day chatting with friends, exchanging recipes and cooking tips, while taking some memorable photos that we will have for a lifetime. It has been a pleasure knowing you for just about 6 years now! Two of the photos are already in frames in our entry way for all to see.

Until next time….

Kimberly, Eric and Lukas Waliszewski

Erin + Dan were filled with eager anticipation at seeing one another before their ceremony, and Dan could hardly believe it once he finally got to see Erin in her gorgeous gown. Their indoor ceremony was held in the uniquely beautiful Greek revival style Round Hill House, which was wonderfully prepared for a lively party afterwards. We’re so glad to know this sweet couple, and to photograph their special day was a real privilege.

We are such big fans of Leets + Rich! Their day was saturated with love and excitement, as well as style and fashion sense. After opening and putting on a beautiful wedding day gift from Rich, we brought Leets outside to a private field where her dapper groom was waiting for her. Rich could hardly contain his excitement over seeing her before their ceremony overlooking the scenic Hudson River Valley. The rest of the day that followed was filled with the same sort of anticipation and passion between them, while their family & friends celebrated around them. We were blown away by everyone’s joyful spirit on this very special day and are so proud to have been a part of it.

While everyone awaits the explosion of color in the Hudson Valley, the autumn season means it’s time for the annual Best of Hudson Valley Party, hosted by the publishers of Hudson Valley Magazine. The energizing party was not to be missed this year, as it featured a checklist of over 200 winners of all the very best the Hudson Valley has to offer. Your ballots were tallied in a variety of categories to come up with a “best of” list in food & drink, shopping, health & beauty, kids & pets, music & entertainment, and a variety of other specialties. If you missed it this year, don’t hesitate to make plans for next autumn!

Erin is a beautiful Brooklyn bride who knows exactly what she wants. And on this picturesque day, she wanted to share some time with Ed before their gala affair in front of 300+ family and friends. After the two of them spent some tender moments together, we toured the Liberty Warehouse with them and enjoyed the spectacular views of New York City,  the Statue of Liberty, and Governor’s Island. The entire day and evening was charged with energy and excitement, and all of their detailed planning paid off in everyone’s enjoyment of an unforgettable event. We were positively thrilled to be a part of it!

Sam is one of our most favorite little boys ever! He’s growing so fast. We spent an amazing afternoon on the beach with him and his parents, Jonathan + Lauren. The day was made even more special because Jon’s parents joined them for some fun in the sand and ocean waves. Lauren graciously wrote some of the family’s thoughts on the meaning of this day and the photos:

What do you get when you combine four people who don’t like being photographed and one who likes being photographed just a little too much? When you work with Ulysses + Jenni, you get pictures you’ll cherish for the rest of your life! We’ve been huge fans of their work since meeting them at a wedding a few years ago, and were absolutely thrilled with the results of an earlier family session.

As an exceptionally close family, we felt it was really important to capture photos of our 6-year-old son, Sam, with his grandparents at the place they love most – the beach.

Ulysses + Jenni were the perfect couple for the job; in addition to being phenomenal photographers, we knew they understand the ‘zen of Sam.’ In our first family session, they encouraged us to let him lead the way, explore what was interesting and just have fun, and the results were spectacular! Initially, Mom, Dad, Noma and Opa may have wanted to fade into the background, but the end result captured so many special moments – moments that go by in a flash (no pun intended!) – that really demonstrated the love we all feel for each other (as well as the love Sam feels for the “hypnotizing” and “so beautiful” Jenni!). Much fun was had by all; as Jon said, “You feel like you’re hanging with good friends for the afternoon, and those friends just happen to take stunning pictures.”

Sam & Family: It was a true delight and a real privilege to spend this awesome day with you.

It was a warm but beautiful day for Natalie + Will as summer transitioned over to autumn. Leading up to the wedding day, Natalie expressed her excitement over marrying her “Prince William.” Their excited anticipation over seeing one another for the first time felt just like royal dream come true. It was a joy photographing them again, and we had equally as good a time with their family and friends. We’re so honored to be their photographers.

Marsha + Michael’s close-knit friendship binds them together in a way that draws anyone towards them. Michael couldn’t wait to join his bride-to-be, and he virtually bolted down the stairs to see her when she arrived. Their complete passion for one another’s wellbeing kept our cameras transfixed on them throughout the day. There were gorgeous handmade details from start to finish that beautifully illustrated the sort of lovebirds they truly are. We count ourselves incredibly fortunate to be their photographers.

Leets + Rich are passionate about one another, about life, about art and about our photos. We share a number of things in common, which is no doubt one reason our photo session with them was so carefree and enjoyable. Despite the ridiculously high temperatures, they simply rolled with it and showed us how much they love one another. Perfect! We eagerly look forward to their wedding day at The Garrison.

Jackie + Nick’s deep love for one another was evident throughout every moment of their wedding day. The way they looked at one another, laughed together, and danced together spoke volumes about how much they care for one another. The images we were honored to capture of them with their family and friends merely punctuate the feelings we saw. We’re so thankful they chose us as their photographers.

Dee + Drew are just made for one another. Their warmth, honesty, and charm easily drew us to them. We’re thrilled that they feel the same about their experience with us. We are beside ourselves with appreciation for the incredibly kind thoughts Dee + Drew shared from our first photo shoot together:

Andrew and I had the pleasure of meeting Ulysses and Jenni on the day of our engagement photo shoot.  We were truly a bit nervous about what our role was going to be in the process.  We teased each other about how awkward it would be to pose and try to show our love for one another in front of the camera.  With in mere seconds of meeting Ulysses and Jenni, we felt our nerves melt away.  We were laughing and smiling as naturally as ever.  We believe that this happened for two reasons.

The first reason being, both Ulysses and Jenni have an amazingly unique way of showing their own passion.  They have a very strong passion for their work and for each other.  This made the entire experience a constant reminder of the passion that Andrew and I share.

The second reason being the way in which Ulysses and Jenni kept reminding us to enjoy the day, to envision ourselves being on a date, and most importantly, not to pose!

Ulysses and Jenni did not try to create anything that wasn’t already there.  They simply encouraged Andrew and I to mosey around the beautiful streets and were able to catch perfect glimpses of our natural love for each other.  This made for incredibly genuine photographs that show the love and passion that we have for one another.

We are entirely pleased with the quality of our photographs, the way that they warm our hearts when we look at them, and they bring smiles and tears to our close family and friends.  Most importantly, we are grateful for the relationship that we are building with both Ulysses and Jenni.  They are an inspiration in the worlds of love and art, and are truly a dynamic duo!

Christine + Amedeo took us to some of their favorite places in their Manhattan neighborhood. We had an outstanding time with them and could easily have stayed much longer than we did. Whether we were in a secret garden or stopping traffic on the streets of NYC, there was no doubt about their affection for one another. We’re excited to join them for their wedding day at The Grandview.

We enjoyed a fun, lively photo shoot with Ali + Dave. You might think it would be difficult to find privacy in NYC for romantic photos, but it wasn’t hard at all with this awesome couple. They smile and laugh easily with one another, giving us lots of opportunities to create memorable art pieces for them. We can’t wait to join them for their fabulous wedding at the James Burden Mansion.

More with Ali + Dave.

Jennifer + John, part of the Stack family of owners of Catlin Gardens, were the very first wedding held there. Now 15 years later, they chose to renew their vows at the same lovely location. It was a true honor to be asked to photograph them and their circle of close-knit friends. Jennifer planned everything without John’s knowledge. He was blown away both by the surprise and by how beautiful Jennifer was. Surrounded by their children and an intimate collection of friends and family, they vowed once again their love for one another.
