New York Wedding Photographer – Ulysses Photography Blog » artistic. unobtrusive. fashionable. fun.

I don’t know how we forgot to mention this one. We got a really cool thumbs-up from the publishers of Wedding Blog Awards, a site “dedicated to finding and promoting valuable wedding blogs; be they bride blogs, groom blogs, or wedding vendor blogs.” They found our blog and spied the photo on the left from Kimberly & Eric’s engagement session, and awarded it Photo of the Week. We were honored because it’s also one of Kimberly & Eric’s own favorites (as well as one of our own). Along with the award, they commented:

There are so many great photos, along with great web design that makes visiting this site a pleasure! Don’t forget to subscribe to their blog.

So we’re having a sort of belated celebration by sharing just a few more photos from their awesome engagement session. We’ve known Kimberly for a few years now (having photographed several of her friends’ weddings). So as you can imagine, we’re jazzed about getting together again with this exciting couple for their wedding at the beautiful Catlin Gardens later this year.

counter_anim.gifThe ever-increasing counter in the right-hand column of our blog lets us know that visitors are coming to read our stories each day. We really hope you’re enjoying them as much as we do. Some of you come to find out what’s new with myself and Jenni. Others might be coming to simply click on and check out the pictures.

  • Ulysses - Kylie, it’s so awesome hearing from you again! We think about the two of you a lot and with many fond memories of photographing your wedding and your honeymoon on Cape Cod. We’re showcasing a few of your photos in our studio, too, because it was such an amazing and beautiful week of shooting. You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect dream session! It truly was our privilege to be there with you.

Let us know if you ever want to get together again for another session. You KNOW we’ll be there and ready for you. Or if we’re ever down there in the Maryland area (we travel a lot), we’ll let you know! It was so much fun to work with you.

  • Kylie Riser - Hi Jenni & Ulysses-
Well, it has been six months since Scott and I got married (actually, yesterday was six months) and I just wanted to let you know that every time I see our pictures (which is a lot, considering we have so many wonderful blown-up shots and the wonderful book) I can’t believe what an amazing job you both did. Everything about our day was perfect, and you two played a huge part in that! From our engagement session to our honeymoon shoot, you made everything comfortable and so natural. I am so glad that we got to work together. Since babies aren’t in our future, if you ever want to take pictures of pets, we can help out there!

Thank you again for all of your hard work and everything you did to make our pictures amazing!

  • Marcus - I bet this post will collect a lot of comments. It´s much fun to read your blog. You put as much love in your blog posts like you put in your photos.March 29, 2008 – 1:08 PM

We hope you enjoy our blog and the images included in each entry. We always try to show photos that have large doses of fun, creativity, and that will compel you to visit again and again. We want you to enjoy simply clicking around, but not at the expense of making your wrists and fingers tired from all that clicking! So here’s a tip to help take a load off of your valuable joints.

Let’s take a blog entry like Girls Getting Gorgeous! This entry contains eight images for your enjoyment. Now, you could click on each thumbnail to open a larger image, and then click on the word “Close” to remove that larger image when you’re done. Navigating the entire batch of eight images this way would take you 16 clicks.

But try this instead: Click on the first image you want to see larger. Hover your mouse over the right side of the image. You’ll see a tab that says “Next” if there is another image to follow. If you hover your mouse over the left side of the image, you will see a tab that says “Prev” if there is an image previous to this one. And of course, there is the usual “Close X” tab at the bottom right-hand corner of the image. Using this navigation method would take you only nine clicks to see the entire set of images. (Are you now nodding your head knowingly?) 🙂

Navigating our blog images

Alternately, you can use your keyboard to navigate the images. Click on any image to open a larger version. Then use the following keyboard keys:

P = Previous photo
N = Next photo
X = Close photo

I hope this helps especially any of you who work a lot at the computer and might have concerns about repetitive stress injuries. We have a LOT of pictures to show you, and we don’t want you to tire out while viewing them! 🙂

Kerri & Nick’s engagement (#050)When we arrived at the lake house owned by Kerri’s mother, we were immediately taken by the quiet charm of the surroundings there. Kerri & Nick’s friends and family were all gathered together and were enjoying themselves while the four of us went out to the lake for a fun-filled photo session. Even if they were a little bit nervous about family watching from the lake house windows, this adorable couple did a fantastic job allowing their affectionate feelings for one another to show.

The view of the lake was beautiful on this early spring day. And being able to walk around the lake towards a sandy beach-like area added to the variety of their photos. They had a great time, and we had a blast getting to know them better. The e-session was filled with the entire range of expression running from pure fun and silliness to their genuine love for one another. Great session, Kerri & Nick! Thank you for spending an afternoon with us. We can’t wait to show you the rest, and we think you’ll be amazed seeing how great you two were together.

For now, enjoy the teasers in this blog. The rest of the gallery will be posted very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website.

What do you do when the winds are gusting to nearly 40 mph and the temps are 40° F with a wind chill of around 32° F? You take your couple outdoors for some photos, of course! Jessica & Barry knew that we like to go all out even when the weather is a bit iffy, and they came prepared to enjoy it!

Jessica looked very stylish in an ivory top-jacket and designer jeans. She’d taken the day off for a trip to the salon for her hair & makeup just for this photo shoot. We were thrilled about it because she looked so gorgeous. Barry is a photographer himself, which excites us because we love shooting for other photographers. So we knew we’d all have a great time. We spent a little time at an indoor location and gradually worked our way outdoors since the sunlight (and the shadows we used) was so stunning. We ended with some photos that were particularly fierce for Jess & Barry (NOTE: Fierce = Awesome). We LOVED the portion they were able to close on, as they really earned it in this weather.

Thank you, Jess & Barry! We’re greatly anticipating your wedding at the beautiful Chateau Hathorn.

Their complete gallery will be available very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Keep your browsers ready! And please leave a comment by clicking on the “Comments” link above. We love to hear from all our readers about their favorite images.

  • Ulysses - Marcus, thanks for the kudos, my friend! The two photos in this blog entry are only two of our favorites. There were many more opportunities that we had with this awesome couple. The light was fantastic on that day.March 28, 2008 – 11:39 PM

  • Marcus - wow, what a nice light on the color photo and this dramatic infrared. I really like these! 🙂March 28, 2008 – 7:09 PM

  • Ulysses - Oh, go ahead. Give us another “Wow!!” just because. 🙂

Jess, we were dying to know what you thought of your photos, and we’re SO GLAD to know that you love them. The session was a smash success, and we loved every minute with you and Barry.

We’re so glad that you each put so much of yourselves into it, too. All of your advance time and prep for the photo shoot really paid off in some beautiful and even dreamy photos. Fantastic job, guys, for really throwing yourselves into it. You’re a beautiful couple.

The wedding day is going to be exciting, fun, and joyous. You won’t find anyone happier to be there with you than Jenni and myself.March 26, 2008 – 8:33 PM

  • Jess - Wow,wow,wow………..I love all of them! We had so much fun during our session. I can’t wait to see you guys for the wedding. I am so happy that I feel 100% confident that my wedding pictures are going to be breathtaking!March 26, 2008 – 8:08 PM

One of Jenni’s most important tips to brides is: “Makeup is your friend – don’t be afraid of it!” As photographers, we know this is such a true statement. We know how beautiful you are, but a great makeup artist will help enhance that beauty even more so and help you look amazing in your pictures.

So when Marisa Verdi of Flawless Image Makeup offered to do makeovers for Jenni and our good friend Vivian, they were excited to see what she could do. She gave them a softer daytime look, as well as more dramatic looks for evenings or going out (or a special photography shoot!). It seemed to me that the options were endless! Marisa is extremely talented and did an incredible job – her art background really shined through. She is also a veritable encyclopedia for MAC makeup, and sent Jenni home with a long shopping list. 🙂

But it wasn’t all work and no play! After their makeovers, I had a chance to photograph three of the most beautiful women you’d ever want to see – that’s right, Marisa had a chance to style for us, too! I think they absolutely rocked it.

IMPORTANT TIP: Since makeup will often look much lighter in your photos, don’t be afraid to go much darker than you normally would for everyday. Notice how dark Jenni’s makeup looks up close when being applied, yet look how amazing it looks in the other pictures.

So, there’s your proof ladies. A great makeup artist is going to work well with your photographer for stunning results in your photos. Makeup really is your friend.

You can reach Marisa Verdi by calling 845.629.2398. Or become a fan of Marisa and Flawless Image Makeup on Facebook.

  • Stephanie Zettl - Wow Jenni! You look amazing! (not that you don’t normally look amazing!!)

  • Jenni - I agree, Jess – the makeup is dramatic and amazing, but I didn’t feel like it looked so unlike me that it was unrealistic. I guess we’ll have to get some prints made! 🙂

    Thanks, Mom! 🙂March 20, 2008 – 11:24 AM

  • Mama McNulty - Wow! What pictures! You’ve always been beautiful to me!
    MommyMarch 19, 2008 – 11:58 PM

  • Jessica - I love the one of the two of you as well-its really pretty (and handsome). The makeup really pops-but you still look like “you”. Which is the sign of a great makeup artist.

I really want a copy of that image of the both of you. We could keep it in our wallet and show you off. 😉 Seriously though, it would be fun to have a framed photo of you!March 19, 2008 – 2:42 PM

  • Jenni - Hehe – thanks Jess! It really was amazing makeup. I told Marisa that I’m not afraid of makeup, I wanted it to look amazing in camera, and that I was going to tell her my favorite thing to hear from brides: “You’re the artist – do whatever you want.” She got so excited, the brushes went flying, and the rest is history! : ) I really think you get the best results when you give artists that kind of creative freedom.March 19, 2008 – 8:09 AM

  • Ulysses - LOL! I had to laugh when I read your comment, Jess. I’ll make SURE Jenni reads this as soon as she wakes up tomorrow morning. She’s going to love this. 😀

Check out the ATTITUDE in image #5 of 8. I really love #7 of her, too. Marisa did such a beautiful job. When it was Jenni’s turn to sit in the chair, she told Marisa to simply do whatever she wanted with her. And Marisa went to town. I remember the smile on Jenni’s face and the “wow” that she uttered when she first saw herself in the mirror. It was fun for her, and even more fun for me to shoot.

    “Holy cannoli” is right!March 18, 2008 – 10:58 PM

  • Jessica - holy cannoli batman! Look at Jenni’s eyes!!!

That makeup is GORGEOUS-and you are too Jenni-but that makes your eyes crazy insane!

    love it!March 18, 2008 – 10:47 PM

Jessica & Stephen’s engagement (#41)We were so excited that Jessica & Stephen decided upon us for their photography, not only because of their own gentle and trusting nature, but also because their wedding would be at The Eagle’s Nest, a venue with one of the most beautiful views in the region. Because we enjoy shooting there so much, we’d come highly recommended to Jessica & Stephen. None of us needed any further convincing after our first meeting together.

They were each interested in a natural and yet artistic approach that matched their own quietly excited personalities. Jessica had a dress with really cute black & white polka dots of graduated sizes, and it was just fun and flirty enough to help make for a delightful session. This happily in-love couple had no problems whatsoever staying close and showing affection for our cameras. It was a fantastic e-session, and we know they’re going to be blown away by seeing just how great they look in photos.

The complete gallery is coming very soon to the “Client Proof” area of our main website. So stay tuned, and leave us a comment!

  • Ulysses - Oh, believe me! There were a few times we asked you to “do it again” — like the kissin’, the huggin’, the gettin’ close. “Do that again!” LOL!

Jessica & Stephen, we’re so glad you enjoyed your session. We had a real blast getting to know you better, too. Fun sessions like this are intended not only to help ensure you feel completely at ease on your wedding day, but they also show you just how incredible you look together in pictures, and we sort of time we want to spend with you during your personal shooting session on the day of the wedding. We genuinely want it to be a memorable experience as part of your wedding day.

We love how the images turned out. Getting to create artful views of the two of you was a real pleasure. 🙂March 21, 2008 – 10:54 PM

  • Jessica - You guys made this such a great experience. We could be ourselves, no cheesy poses or wait wait hold that pose we need to try it again 🙂 Very relaxing and we look forward to the wedding with the both of you 🙂 But now to the photos…We absolutely love the pictures! It made it so hard to choose our favorites! Steve and I can’t wait for the wedding to see what comes out, and Ulysses, it’s okay if you end up in our photographs 🙂March 21, 2008 – 12:23 PM

From the time we first met with Lilline & Evan, we connected very quickly and easily with them. Their personalities were calm and easy-going, and yet earnest and intense at the same time. A great match for us! We couldn’t wait for their e-session. Evan had recently returned from a trip to Israel, where he not only had a chance to continue his studies in medicine, but also to reconnect with his culture. Meanwhile, Lilline was busy with school and finalizing plans for their wedding. It was virtually like a double date to spend time with them again.

The photo shoot was a blast from start to finish, with plenty of fun and style and fresh energy throughout. Not only did they look fashionably great together, but there were a host of little intimate moments that we were able to find for them. We know they’re going to be an amazing couple to spend time with on their wedding day at The Manor in West Orange, NJ.

Here are a couple of teasers from their session. But we can’t wait to release the entire gallery for them. It will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Feel free to leave a comment by clicking the “Comments” link immediately above this blog entry.

  • Ulysses - Lilline, we had such a blast with you and Evan. We love it when couples look at their photos and say, “Is that really me??” We find that oftentimes people haven’t seen just how amazing they can look in photos. And so whether we help you to relax and be yourselves, or otherwise even try out something you’d never have considered for yourselves, we want the idea of having fun and relaxing and having a great time to come through. You guys passed with flying colors! 🙂

We both love 14, too. Jenni has probably already told you about some of our other favorites. Tough choices like these is a good problem to have. 🙂March 29, 2008 – 9:06 AM

  • Lilline - I’ve just been looking at the photos over and over again because they’re all so wonderful. It’s hard to choose favorites. I really feel that you captured us in the shy, goofy, serious, and loving moments. I especially LOVE 14. Thank you so much for not only a fun day but also amazing photos to remember it.March 19, 2008 – 12:53 PM

  • Nancie - These photos really do capture a lovely part of your “essence”. I can’t wait to see the rest of them.March 18, 2008 – 10:14 PM

  • Marlene - Wow!!!! The pictures are fabulous. I can’t wait to see them all.March 18, 2008 – 9:23 AM

  • Ulysses - BTW, I wanted to tell you what I love about that first image at the top of the blog: Lilline has this very strong and adventurous side to her, and we just LOVE the way she tried everything we asked. But there is also this almost shy side of her that we saw in photos like this one, and it was so endearing that I just had to place it in the blog because it was such a beautiful and real moment between the two of you.

Jenni and I are so glad you enjoyed your session.March 17, 2008 – 10:23 PM

  • Ulysses - Hey there, you two! I can’t wait for Jenni to see your comments tomorrow. We always enjoy the feedback. We’re working to make sure the gallery is ready for you very soon. Jenni will send you an email as soon as it’s ready. Prepare to be “wowwed”! We REALLY like what we see in your session. 🙂

    We’ll talk again soon!March 17, 2008 – 10:18 PM

  • Evan - The pictures look great so far and it was easy to work with you guys because you made us feel so comfortable. I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures. You guys are a great team and truly make it a fun experience.March 17, 2008 – 10:00 PM

We recently enjoyed attending the Bloomingdale’s White Plains Pre-Wedding Wedding Party. And it was a big hit with brides who attended! Everyone loved the incredible food from Doral Arrowwood (they gave us the most adorable mini take-home cakes!), the gorgeous flowers from Westchester Floral Decorators, music by Craig Scott Entertainment, and chatting with fabulous wedding consultant Debra Thompson. There was even a professional model, Natalia, showing off beautiful fashions throughout the evening, with no fewer than three changes of clothing. We had the opportunity to speak to several wonderful Westchester couples planning their weddings in our area as well as destination weddings.

What a fabulous opportunity it was for couples to enjoy a night of cocktails, talk to vendors hand-chosen by Bloomingdale’s, and then take advantage of their gift registry at the same time! A sincere thank-you to Meryl Lefkowitz for inviting us, and to Debra Thompson for recommending us.

We were stationed right in front of a table setting I fell in love with, so I know exactly what would be going on my registry – you’ll see me with it in the last photo of this set:

Exciting news: Ulysses Photography has been selected to be the exclusive photographer at Bloomingdale’s “Pre-Wedding” Wedding Party this Friday night in White Plains! Come join the fun at what they call The (Very) Social Registry.

There will be cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music and wedding vendors to meet. Debra Thompson, one of our favorite wedding planners, will be speaking about how to plan your perfect wedding. If that’s not enough, you can meet the Editor in Chief of Modern Bride Magazine, Antonia Van der Meer, and get a signed copy of her new book, “The Modern Bride’s Survival Guide”. Think of it as partying with a purpose.

The event is this Friday, March 14 from 6-8 pm at Bloomingdale’s White Plains. To say, “I do”, please reply to 914.684.6363, and let them know we sent you.

We’ll see you there!

  • Ulysses - Marcus, we were thrilled to be there, and we had a lot of fun meeting, greeting, and EATING! LOL! The chocolate-covered strawberries table was right next to our table. I would have taken a picture of it, but it was nearly empty already by the time I got my camera out for it.

Bloomingdale’s has a really fun staff, too. It somehow felt very “family-like”, and they made us feel right at home.March 28, 2008 – 11:42 PM

  • Marcus - Congratulations you both! That must have been a great event when such well known names come together 🙂March 28, 2008 – 7:15 PM

  • Ulysses - Thanks, Jess! We’ve been pretty excited about it, as you can imagine. We expect it will be the start of a wonderful long-term relationship as we help one another serve the brides in our area.

We actually attended this event last night, and we had a FANTASTIC time. We met lots of GORGEOUS brides and some great people there at Bloomindale’s.

    We’ll be blogging a bit more about the experience shortly. 🙂March 16, 2008 – 3:07 PM

  • jessica - congrats guys-this is going to be great for you + bloomies! 🙂March 16, 2008 – 2:40 PM

We’re always keeping our eyes open for something different but amazing, something so colorful that you could almost taste it, something so unusual that it almost defies classification. This time, we’ve stumbled upon a daring gown designer in the UK by the name of Basia Zarzycka. Her own words say it best: “This is not a normal shop.” One glance at her website, and you’ll immediately realize she’s telling the truth. Her designs are all at once both elegant and shocking, at times deceptively simple and yet always deliciously high fashion. Her attention to detail and accessorization is incredible. If you want to see some of the latest in over-the-top custom bridal design intended to make your dreams come true, definitely give her website a look. For brides who share her creative vision, it will be better than a trip to Neverland.

As photographers, we love visiting this sort of risk in bridal couture. If you’re looking for something similarly daring, let us know about it! We want to talk to you about your amazing photographic opportunities.

Basia Zarzycka website

We’re always encouraging our couples to look at their photos, and to look at them often! Why? Just because. When you go through your photos for the simple purpose of reminiscing over them, to enjoy your loving expressions, you’ll likely find that the emotion drawn up by the images can be very powerful. After all, you worked hard to look as fantastic as you do in those photos, and we work hard to find the mood that best expresses you in pictures!

We enjoy these images just as much as you do. I was recently perusing at random through some of our past engagement photos sessions and found a few that I wanted to share.

The feelings evoked by photos like these, whether contained in art-mounted prints or in book collections, is priceless. It’s one reason why we cherish the time you give us during the shoot to create pieces like these, and we know you will, too.

  • Ulysses - Yeah, I like that one a LOT, too. It’s real love at it’s most intense! LOL!March 8, 2008 – 10:46 AM

  • Dawn Earles - The second image is as funny as it is beautiful! Is he trying to bite her head off? 😉March 8, 2008 – 10:40 AM

Portrait work is yet another facet of photography that gives us great joy. A good portrait has the power to say a lot about you, to project a statement about yourself and your image. So we were pleased and honored when Stacey Karesh, the Manager of Public Relations for Neiman Marcus Westchester, contacted us to request portraits for herself and for Beth Sharkey, the Vice President and General Manager. As both of them were beautiful, confident and accomplished women, they were winning subjects for our camera, and we genuinely enjoyed their photo sessions.

As many of our brides know, Neiman Marcus Westchester is a leader in the region when it comes to keeping the community up-to-date on contemporary fashion trends. With a broad selection of luxury merchandise and superior customer service to match, you won’t lack for anything when visiting this beautiful store. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

P.S. – A kind note of thanks to Lina, Stacey’s assistant, whose help with hot tea and water saved Jenni’s throat during her bout of laryngitis.

  • jessica - You did a really great job scouting the location-the second one is esp. impactfull to me with the great composition of the line of dresses in the background drawing your eye right to her.March 10, 2008 – 5:32 PM

  • Ulysses - Thank you, Jessica! We enjoyed walking around the store and looking at the environments they had in mind for the photos. There was actually a bit of construction going on in the store, so a smartly positioned rack of clothing hid all of that very well, while still providing a pretty compliment to Stacey’s fun personality. The other photo gave us a clean and undistracting backdrop for Beth, who is to be the subject of an upcoming article in a regional magazine.March 9, 2008 – 12:25 PM

  • jessica - I really love the first one-the lighting is just so clean + crisp. Makes me want to do some environmental portraiture!March 9, 2008 – 12:19 PM

Trish & Noel’s engagement (#37)What an absolute joy it was to see Trish & Noel again! Although it was a cold and blustery day, nothing could dampen their good mood and enthusiasm for getting together with us for their portrait session. Trish’s engaging eyes and smile brighten a room, and Noel’s sense of humor and a good time kept us laughing through the entire shoot. They each looked fantastic. They tightly held on to one another during the outdoor portion of the session, making for some warm and fashionably romantic photos, supporting each other through the chill.

Trish & Joel: You did a fabulous job! We can’t wait to show you all the rest of the photos! We know how excited you are about your photography, and this gives us so many reasons to look forward to our time with you at the VIP Country Club later this year.

P.S. – Jenni and I loved hearing the sound of your Irish accents again. We could listen to you two talk all day long! 🙂

For now, here are a couple of previews while we prepare the rest of the gallery for viewing. It will be available soon in the “Client Proof” area of our main website. We love hearing from our couples and our readers, so please leave us a comment!

  • Trish - As you can see my brother has the same kind of humor as Noel! We checked out the proofs last night online!!! They look great!! Only problem is now there’s so many of them I want to get!!February 24, 2008 – 11:07 AM

  • Martin & Leola - Ye look brilliant guys…. We’re surprised! They must have magic cameras!February 23, 2008 – 12:01 AM

  • Ulysses - Trish, make sure you let Noel know that there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why Gentleman’s Quarterly wouldn’t ring his phone off the hook right now! 🙂

The two of you are fantastic. I know it must seem weird at first, trying to cuddle and show one another how you feel while two crazy people are within talking distance AND looking right at you. But you each relaxed in a short period of time. You looked adorable! So we know the wedding day is going to be just awesome.

Make sure we get plenty of TIME with you guys together. It will be so well worth it! I promise.

    Hugs for you both.

Jackie & Chaz are absolutely in love with their album, and we couldn’t be more pleased at their reaction to it. There is nothing quite like seeing all of those photos gathered into a beautiful story-telling format. Jackie & Chaz are just perfect for one another and are without a doubt one of the sweetest and most heartfelt couples we’ve met. We wish the best for them and their new home!

After recently receiving their album, Jackie replied with the following rave:

OMG!!! We love the album!!! It is a work of art – an absolute masterpiece. Words cannot express how happy we are looking through and reliving such a perfect day. Thank you for capturing such beautiful pictures, thank you, thank you, thank you!! We could never say it enough! You are both truly amazing!

Ulysses & Jenni, Photo: Berty Greenbough, PerrotPhoto.com“There is no time like the present.”

No doubt you’ve heard that familiar phrase. One meaning is that the moment in which you find yourself right now cannot be duplicated at any place, or at any other moment, by anyone in the past, present, or future. That expression also implies a sense of joy in experiencing what stands before you – right now.

In a similar spirit, there have been no couples quite like those we had the pleasure of getting to know during the year of 2007. Some were incredibly funny. Some were quietly intense. Others were completely enveloped with emotion. All were beautiful people. We’d like to show them to you in a slideshow you can enjoy by clicking the following link:

Couples of 2007

And please leave us a comment. We’d love to hear back from each of you again. 🙂

It seems that each time we get together with Jesyca & Bill for their session with little Alexander, we have more and more reasons to smile and laugh. I mean, how could we NOT!?

This time around, the little guy is not quite so little anymore. He’s grown so much since we last saw him four months ago — just as cute, but this time four months older, a head full of brown hair, eyes as bright and wide as you can imagine, and smiles that were broad and totally toothless. He is incredible. 🙂

We’d like to share a photo of him here. His full gallery of playtime with his parents will be available very soon. Just contact them directly for the password to gain access.

  • Ulysses - All I have to say is, we LOVE little Alexander! Seeing his little personality open so much in just the past four months time is truly amazing! Those intense wide blue eyes made us just melt. And that broad smile – you know he’s in a home that is filled with lots of love.

AND… How could I not get along so well with my “Horton Hears a Who” buddy? I mean that seals the deal right there! 😀

    Take care, guys. Luv ya.February 6, 2008 – 6:07 PM

  • Jenni - And what an amazing personality he is!!! I could play with him all day! : )February 6, 2008 – 8:41 AM

  • The Mommy - How amazing are these pictures! They totally capture his personality!February 5, 2008 – 1:30 PM

  • katie - OMG!! He is so friggin cute.February 4, 2008 – 7:55 PM

Anyone who visits our studio knows I like to tell stories about our pictures. I think it’s more than wonderful to be given a privileged and personal look at how a couple’s wedding day is impacting their feelings. Moment by moment you can see their changing emotion and expression.

For example, when exactly does a couple realize they are joined together at the most amazing moment in time that has ever happened for them? We take it as a personal challenge to try to find that defining moment.

The image seen below easily illustrates one of those moments for Jamie & Paul. As they sat during the ceremony, there was a period when they each looked at one another and then simultaneously, as if connected by the same magical thought, they looked down at the wedding bands that signified their union, while Jamie held and lovingly caressed Paul’s hand. It lasted for only a second, but it was a pure and amazing moment.
