We can’t wait for Amanda & Jason to receive their wedding book. It was prepared with lots of TLC by Jenni and myself. When we look at the images and the unfolding story, it takes us back to such a joyous set of memories. If we feel that way as their photographers, we can only imagine how Amanda & Jason are going to feel as they enjoy looking at the wedding book themselves!

Amanda & Jason, we look forward to hearing from you in the future and catching up on how everything is going for you. Thank you so much for allowing us to share such a beautiful day.

With many of our 2007 weddings now in their production phase, we’re always in anticipation to receive those completed books and ship them out to their new permanent homes with our couples. It’s with great pleasure that we mention Kylie & Scott’s wedding book is now on its way!

You may remember reading about our incredible time with them not only for their wedding, but also their honeymoon photo session on Cape Cod. So awesome!

  • Ulysses - LOL! Too funny! 😀

Well, all I’ve got to say is: Whatever babies you’ve got available — whether the ones with smooth bottoms or the ones with furry faces — we’ll be there for you guys. 😉February 4, 2008 – 12:00 PM

  • Kylie - Well, I hate to disappoint, but the only babies we plan on having are the four-legged variety! We already have 4 (two dogs, two cats) but if you ever want to test your animal-picture-taking skills, we are more than willing:-PFebruary 4, 2008 – 10:18 AM

  • Jenni - Scott, I can’t tell you how much it means to us to hear from you, too! Getting to know you and Kylie was such a joy – you are such a beautiful couple, inside and out. It must be said, though, that those amazing pictures could not have happened if you hadn’t been such a willing participant. It’s often more difficult for guys to really get “into” having their picture taken, but you were enthusiastic and willing to do anything we asked from the start. Thank you for your total trust in us – you never questioned anything, even when we had you lying down in freezing water! : )

Ulysses and I know you two are going to continue to be so happy together, and we look forward to keeping in touch. Definitely let us know when those babies start coming – just think of the fun we’ll have then!!

    Big hugs,
    JenniFebruary 3, 2008 – 2:51 PM

  • Scott - Ulysses and Jenni, I’ve let Kylie do most of the correspondence but I wanted to add my own words. You guys gave us exactly what we were looking for in photographers: professionalism, fun, artistic flare, friendship and great memories. You guys are fantastic and we do everything we can to sing your praise. The wedding book is really breathtaking and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Thank you so much for helping make our wedding (and honeymoon!) absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have done it without you and, in hindsight, wouldn’t have wanted to! Keep in touch and if you’re ever in Maryland look us up!February 3, 2008 – 10:37 AM

  • Ulysses - Kylie, you know that we love to hear words like these! I still remember how giggly you were during your engagement session with us, and how much fun it was. We knew from that very first session just how special our time with you guys was going to be.

Jenni and I are incredibly honored to hear how your wedding book makes you FEEL. If it touches you in the same way that it touched us when we saw the photos, then we have reached our intended goal. We wanted to show in pictures just how lovely and how passionate a couple you and Scott are. His devotion to you is so plain to see.

The honeymoon session we had with you guys on the Cape was such a fantastic experience! I wish we could do that again! Going there for those photos and working them into the design of your wedding book was definitely the way to go! A bride who pursues her DREAM for photos is the Perfect Bride to us.

We just loved working with you guys. And we hope to hear from you again as your family grows. 😉January 31, 2008 – 10:25 AM

  • Kylie - Oh Jenni & Ulysses- I cannot even begin to tell you how beautiful the book is! It really is mind blowing, and the proof didn’t even do it justice. The cover is amazing, and the pictures look fabulous! I am so glad I let you guys make the book for us… it is a perfect snapshot of the day, and the addition of the honeymoon pictures are amazing. You just have a way of capturing moments that are perfect… and you made us look so good! It really is perfect! If anyone ever wants to talk to a satisfied bride, just send them my way.

We also love the calendar! It was such a nice surprise, and really is beautiful (have I used that word enough times yet?!?). Just in case, I will say it again: everything is beautiful!

Thank you so much for all of your hard work.

Our passion for making beautiful photographs is matched only by our enthusiasm for learning more about the business of photography. In early January, we attended the Digital Wedding Forum Convention, which was held simultaneously with the nearby Imaging USA photography trade show in Tampa, FL.

Not only did we enjoy listening to seminars by some of our favorite wedding and portrait photographers from around the world, but we also had a chance to give back by sharing some of our own experience as “mentors” in a special Mentor Program. The large room was filled with tables and chairs where each mentor could sit down and have personalized discussions with a “mentee” who was given 1/2 hour to ask questions about photography, website, portfolio, customer relations, or anything that pertained to specific areas that could improve their business. It was an opportunity to network as well as to educate. We had such a blast participating in this helpful program and lending a hand to several enthusiastic photographers.

There was another important benefit from the mentor program. The proceeds collected – some $20,000 in total – went directly to the Keep a Child Alive charity. “Keep A Child Alive” is working to help stem the spread of AIDS in Africa, provide medication and care to those with AIDS, and provide care and shelter for children orphaned by AIDS.

There was also a bit of fun at the convention. We attended a mock wedding in which every detail was intended to be problematic. The goal was to show photographers that no matter what happens on the wedding day, we can still produce striking images for our couples. The wedding itself was hilarious: The bride was over 6-ft tall, with a 5-ft groom; the wedding party wanted to do nothing but party; the father of the bride wore a T-shirt that was supposed to look like a tux shirt; Uncle Bob tried to hog the aisle with his own video camera and tripod; and the lighting for the day was incredibly challenging. Each segment of the wedding was shot by some personal friends of ours, each award-winning photographers: Greg Gibson, The Bebbs, and Susan Stripling. Each approaches weddings with a completely different style. And yet what an awesome job they did during the orchestrated chaos! 🙂

And a huge thanks and hugs go out to each of the seminar speakers and other mentors for giving their time.

Here are a few photos from the wedding, courtesy of the amazing Susan Stripling (click any photo for a larger version):

While our primary enjoyment comes from weddings (along with engagements, “morning-after” sessions, honeymoon sessions, mommies & babies… you get the point… we love photography!), we have just as good a time with other types of photography. Getting to meet a broad cross-section of people in various industries helps us keep up with our commercial work. So we were very glad to receive a call when McKinsey & Company needed some photos for their class of seminar attendees at the Ritz-Carlton in Westchester. They’d been brought in from literally all over the globe, and we had fun meeting a few of them before and after the shoot. It’s humbling to know our pictures are going to nearly every continent.

We had the privilege this week to photograph beautiful little Sevana, who is just 5 weeks old. I couldn’t believe that she was already smiling so much! She’s just beautiful, with big blue eyes and a head full of dark hair, and her parents are obviously totally enraptured with her. We just love doing these types of photo sessions. Just wait til you see this gorgeous little girl …

Her entire proof gallery will be released soon, with a password that can be obtained from her parents. Until then, please enjoy this preview, and feel free to share your thoughts with us by posting a comment. Enjoy!

  • Ulysses - Kezban, we were so excited when we heard from you. We were in such anticipation to hear what you thought about the photos. Sevana made it very easy to photograph her. She was simply adorable. We couldn’t believe how smiley and responsive she was! At only five weeks old, this is very advanced for a child. You were just as beautiful to photograph, as well. We hope you have a lot of wall space for all your photos! 🙂

Let us know if you need anything. Enjoy!January 25, 2008 – 9:45 AM

  • Ulysses - Hello, Hayriye! Thank you so much for the very kind words and for your excitement over seeing these preview photos. By now, hopefully you’ve seen the entire gallery, which is posted in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. If you liked these, I think you’ll go completely crazy for the rest of them. Enjoy them all! 🙂January 25, 2008 – 9:42 AM

  • Kezban - You have done such an amazing job in capturing Sevana’s beauty! These pictures are phenomenal! We had a great time and Sevana loved you. You had such a way with her. I can’t wait to share these pictures with family and friends.
    Thank you!!January 24, 2008 – 4:46 PM

  • HAYRIYE MEHMET - OOHHH MY GOODNESS SHE IS SO ADORABLE. I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE MORE PICS OF HER AND THE FAMILY. I AM SO EXCITED AND I THINK I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PURCHASE ALL OF THE PICTURES.January 24, 2008 – 3:33 PM

Jenni and I were invited by Westchester Magazine to photograph a fashion show at the brand new Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, in White Plains, NY. What a fabulous venue! With the emphasis on the latest in fashion and hair styling, there was an electric buzz in the air at this sold-out show as the 400+ attendees enjoyed the conversation, music, and hors d’oevres, and were even treated to a belly dancer’s performance.

Then it was time for the runway fashion show. It began with some of the upcoming season’s designs that will be seen at Neiman Marcus, and the show continued with some of the latest in hair and makeup by some of Westchester’s best salons. Since we had the chance to photograph several of these salon teams in the recent past, it was exciting to see them again before the show, and to see their models strutting their stuff on the runway.

A huge thanks goes out to Aimee and Meke and to Westchester Magazine. It was amazing to see how they and their team pulled this gala event together. We met some wonderful people, and Jenni and I were thrilled to have been invited.

  • Aimee Pavone - Thanks Ulysses and Jenni for all the fabulous pictures you took at the Fashion & Hair event.
You two were so wonderful to work with.February 26, 2008 – 4:36 PM

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Celeste! Thanks for visiting and for writing. All of the images taken by myself and Jenni have been forwarded last week to Westchester Magazine, who commissioned us to photograph the fashion show. They will post them to their website, and we’re hoping to receive permission from them soon to post the images on our own website, as well.

    Stay tuned! 🙂January 26, 2008 – 3:17 PM

  • celeste - looking forward to seeing the shots from the hair affair evening. Hopefully you will download them soon?January 26, 2008 – 3:08 PM

  • Jenni - Hi Cathy! We got tons of great shots, including all of the models. The whole gallery will be released soon – keep your eyes on our site. Thanks for your interest!

    JenniJanuary 26, 2008 – 10:46 AM

  • cathy - I am Cathy from Tiger Lily Btq. Did you get any shots of our models(The Salon and Firefly)or any of me and my man???January 25, 2008 – 8:35 PM

Portrait GalleryWe’ve recently made an addition to our website, and we wanted to share it with all of you. Although we still specialize primarily in weddings, we’ve been getting more and more portrait requests from our past wedding clients. They’ve been calling us back as their families begin to expand for maternity and baby portraits (which thrills us!) , or when their whole family is in town to get some special family portraits. We love continuing our relationship with them and seeing them again!

To reflect the direction our photography has been taking us, we decided to add a “Portrait” Gallery to our main site. We filled it with a few of our favorites to give you an idea of the kind of portraiture we love, and we think you’ll enjoy them as much as we do. Check it out, and please let others know who might enjoy our style of photography. If you’re a past wedding client, we really hope to see you again soon!

  • Alisha Todd - Beautiful images in your portrait gallery! Very strong shots! Awesome you guys!!!

    Love,
    AlishaJanuary 30, 2008 – 5:30 PM

It’s truly hard to believe, but it’s been about 1-1/2 years since we’ve seen Jan & Greg at their gorgeous wedding at Beckwith Pointe. Life has moved pretty quickly for them since then. They’ve moved out to the west coast. They’re enjoying their work. And they are even more in love than ever before. So when Jan contacted us to let us know they’d be visiting New York and asked if we would photograph some portraits for their family, we jumped at the chance to join them again! 🙂

It was almost like a little family reunion for us, too, as we we all hugged one another in greeting. Everyone had already had a delicious lunch at the late 19th century grand castle at Mohonk Mountain House. Having done weddings there, we were thrilled to return for a fun and relaxing afternoon with the Coppola Family. They’ve expanded by a bit, too, since Greg’s sister & her husband Vinnie have had a new one added to their nest.

Jan & Greg, we had SUCH a blast getting reacquainted with everyone. And most of all, it was a joy to spend some time with you again. We can’t wait to show you all of the photos, as you were each just as much fun to shoot as ever! 🙂

Their online gallery is coming very soon to the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. For now, enjoy the preview photos posted here. We’d love to hear from our readers, so please leave a comment by clicking on “Comments” immediately below. 🙂

  • Ulysses - Jan, I think we were just as excited to see the results on-screen as you were. We couldn’t wait to get home and take care of a few other odds & ends so that we could move on to downloading and prepping the images that were shot.

After seeing them, we’re very happy about sharing them. We’re jazzed, too, about the ones taken with Greg’s sister & her husband. They were lots of fun to play with. They probably didn’t expect us to get them alone like that, but there was no way we could NOT do it.

You’re a true beauty, Jan, and Greg is so perfect for you. It was truly our pleasure. 🙂

And I think we’re going to take you up on the advice to visit. What has taken us so long already, we couldn’t possibly tell you. 🙂December 29, 2007 – 3:12 PM

  • jan - WOW YOU GUYS ARE FAST! I can’t believe you have a couple up already, and after seeing those two we are dying to see them all. It was so great to see both of you again, you two are always so much fun to work with. Can’t wait to see the rest….and remember I will “remind” you weekly how close CA really is 😉December 28, 2007 – 11:30 PM

Andrea & Frank’s wedding (#576) Andrea & Frank’s wedding was one of our most anticipated weddings of the year for a number of reasons. For one thing, we knew how much passion this couple felt for one another and the way those feelings would allow us to create incredible photos. We also knew how much they had gone through leading up to this date. So the level of excitement and anticipation for their wedding was simply through the roof! Andrea could hardly contain herself as she entered the large wooden doors of Skyland’s Manor, greeting us with warm hugs on this cold December day. After dressing in her amazing gown (along with a sassy matching jacket, hand-made by a seamstress from Italy) and a fun bridal portrait session with Andrea, we caught up with Frank, who looked like the proudest man on the planet as he waited for his bride. The audience — and Frank — was full of tears of joy as she walked down the aisle of the cozy chapel.

Our most enjoyable time was the private time with Andrea & Frank for photography. We had a chance to walk outside and enjoy some of the grounds around the castle. And later towards the end of the evening, they spent a pocket of time with us exploring the romantically mysterious hallways for some stunning portraits. They were incredible models, and we could have spent all evening with them if they had wanted.

Andrea & Frank, thanks SO MUCH for entrusting us with such a valuable privilege. We knew your wedding day would be a stunner. And we very much appreciate the delicious meal that was provided. Linda and Laurel, and the entire staff of Skylands Manor were so helpful and on the ball. Your families were a joy to be around. 🙂

We hope all of you enjoy these previews. It’s just a taste of what is to come while we prepare the rest of the online gallery. It will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. And please post a note here and say hello by clicking on the “Comments” link below.

Andrea & Frank’s wedding (#264)

… and if you can’t wait to see more of Andrea & Frank, have a look at some of our favorite photos from their engagement session back in March ’07. Have fun! 🙂

  • Why We Love What We Do at Ulysses Photography Blog - […] Andrea & Frank’s Wedding […]May 19, 2008 – 7:34 AM

  • Kind Words From Andrea at Ulysses Photography Blog - […] Andrea & Frank’s Engagement […]April 11, 2008 – 6:02 AM

  • Ulysses - We’ve done shots similar to this on the staircase before, but it was by using sunlight from the setting sun weakly filtering in through the windows. Still, this one was technically more challenging because of the positioning of the light and the rather late hour (it’s already dark by 5PM here in NY, and this shoot was a couple hours beyond that). I couldn’t have been happier when Andrea actually requested this shot of the Skylands Manor stairway, as it’s one we love so much, too. So moody and textured. 🙂

    Thanks, Jess!December 26, 2007 – 9:55 PM

  • Jenni - Thanks, Jess! The lighting for this photo was from a hanging light above them. We positioned them to take advantage of it. Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂December 26, 2007 – 9:40 PM

  • Jessica - lovely stair shot. Did you use a high powered Vid light? Or was the light coming from the hanging light fixture above them?December 25, 2007 – 10:37 PM

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Laetitia! It’s so good to hear from you again. We think about you and Berti often. 🙂

Thanks for the kind words about the photos. We didn’t have a lot of time, as we needed to get them back to the very end of their reception. But you know how it is with us — we usually do some of our favorite work when under pressure. But Andrea & Frank are the ideal sort of couple when it comes to modeling and taking cues for these sorts of portraits. We couldn’t have asked for better from them. They were awesome.

The Skylands Manor mansion (or castle… I tend to use the terms interchangeably) is one of our favorite venues, as it offers plenty of opportunities to explore its grounds and hallways. Since it was the middle of December, we knew we’d have fun wandering through the interiors. This particular shot was actually similar to another we’d done a few years ago, and so Andrea requested it. We were more than happy to provide a new take on it, and these guys are spectacular. 🙂

I hope you guys are enjoying your photography as much as ever! Hugs to you and Berti. 🙂December 21, 2007 – 1:21 PM

  • laetitia perrot - Hello Ulysses and Jenny,

I hope you are both well. Yes i know another comment from me!! Just to let you know i really love the mood in the first shot(The one by the stairway) Great lighting!
I wish you two the best and a happy new year!

    Lots of love

    LaetitiaDecember 21, 2007 – 7:15 AM

  • Ulysses - Oh my goodness, Andrea! What can I say except this: You two were simply AWESOME!! But then again, we knew you would be!! Getting to know you guys in the days and months leading up to your wedding has been one of our favorite experiences of the year. From the moments you spent privately with your mom and Patti, through the beautiful ceremony where you two had eyes for no one but each other, and especially during our private photo session… we simply had a BLAST!

We’re glad to know that you had at least as enjoyable a time as Jenni and I did. I had no doubt that your being so uninhibited and simply enjoying your time together would result in the most amazing opportunities for photos. We couldn’t have asked for better.

… wait… did someone say “baby”??? LOL! I don’t want to rush things. But MAKE SURE you let us know when you’re interested in talking about photos for your maternity and beyond. We’d love nothing more.

Nothing but Love and Hugs for you both! We’ll talk again soon. 🙂December 17, 2007 – 7:48 PM

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Patti! 🙂

Jenni and I hope you’ve been both surprised and completely satisfied with what you’ve seen now in the photos. You can probably tell that we had just as much fun and enjoyment as anyone else that attended this beautiful wedding day at Skylands Manor. You were the perfect sister, too, keeping Andrea laughing and helping her out with so many little things. It was wonderful to see your relationship as sisters.

I’m also glad that you felt completely comfortable to laugh, cry, and just be the totally fun person that you are even when a camera was right there in front of you. Things like that help make the photography that much more memorable both Andrea & Frank, as well as for us.

Take care! And we hope to hear from you again one day soon. 😉December 17, 2007 – 7:42 PM

  • Andrea - I knew the day I met you both that your passion for what you do and your passion for one another would help Frankie and I to show our passion through your lens.
You both have been nothing but understanding, amazing, helpful and loving toward us through everything. You are both amazing people and I love what you brought to the most important day of our lives. Every single person at our wedding bragged about you and I knew they would. We love you both and we love all of the moments you captured.

We can’t wait for the baby session!!!!!!!!

    XOXOXOXO
    Andrea and Frank ScafuriDecember 13, 2007 – 9:09 PM

  • Patti Rueck - I just have to say that I can only imagine what the photos will look like based on the two you let us view. They are beautiful. I have to tell you that you are the nicest couple with such a passion in photography and it shows through your work. You have made my sister’s dreams come true by capturing the most important day of her life and making her feel like a princess. I can’t wait to get married so I can have the amazing experience my sister had with the two of you!! Thank you so much 🙂December 12, 2007 – 9:02 AM

We recently had our first snow of the season, and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more than we did while spending some time with Jacquelyn & Thomas. This couple seemed just as excited as we were to be able to meet for the first time. They drove quite a distance to meet us for their e-session, so we knew right away that pictures are a priority for them. After spending some time getting to know one another a little better, we began a really enjoyable session of shooting. I think it was their complete comfort with one another that truly gave life, romance, and a fashionable edge to the photos. Excellent choice of clothing, too, I might add. They both looked great! 🙂

Though meeting them in person for only the first time, we felt as if we’d known them for much longer. Their session today was just an indicator of how enjoyable their wedding day is going to be at the Thayer Hotel in beautiful West Point, NY.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the results, and we’re anxious to show them their photos! Their online gallery will be posted very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. We always love hearing from our readers and our brides (past, present AND future), so please say hello by clicking on the “Comments” link below. 🙂

After shooting a fun maternity session with Nicole & Ralph a few short months ago, Ulysses and I were so excited to finally meet little Sofia. She was born just last month, and she is simply beautiful. During our time with her, she showed the full range of emotions. I think she definitely knew the camera was on her, and she posed like a star. 🙂

Enjoy this preview slideshow. Her entire gallery will be posted shortly on our main website, with a password that can be requested from her parents. If you’d like to leave a comment for her parents or for us, please do so by clicking on the “Comments” link below!

Jackie & Chaz’ wedding (#069)The spectacular setting of the beautiful Shawangunk Mountains served as the backdrop for Jackie & Chaz’ late-autumn wedding. They couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. We found Jackie taking care of her last-minute details with the decorations and place settings. And all of a sudden, she remembered it was time to be a bride. 🙂

Chaz was dashing in his black tux, and he couldn’t wait to see how beautiful his bride was. As she came down the stairs to meet him for their private photo session, their faces were beaming. Chaz’ jaw literally dropped to the ground when he saw Jackie in her champagne gown. It was a perfect moment for both of them as they embraced for the first time that day. After spending some time for romantic photos, it was time to get married! It was a heartfelt and touching ceremony.

We’ll have plenty of photos from their wedding for everyone to see. They’ll be posted very soon to the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Until then, enjoy these photos as a preview. And please feel free to leave a message for Jackie & Chaz, or for us, by clicking on the “Comments” link below.

Alex & Joe’s e-session (Norman, #12)We’re still in the midst of a busy production season. But we get our biggest charge out of actually working with and photographing our couples. So we were really excited to spend time with Alex & Joe for their e-session. They brought along with them the incredibly ADORABLE puppy, Norman, an English Bulldog – although at ~60 pounds, he’s really pushing the limits for puppy-hood. 🙂 He was such a ham, with a bright and playful personality! 🙂

Alex & Joe’s e-session (#52)After taking a few “family” photos with the three of them, we took some time walking and getting to know Alex & Joe a bit better. Since it was just a bit chilly out by the Hudson River waterfront, we made sure to keep them really close together for warmth. Their August wedding at the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook, Connecticut is going to be a real blast, and we have some exciting things planned for it, so we can’t wait.

The results their e-session are amazing, and we’re anxious to share the full gallery of photos with them. For now, enjoy these two images as a little preview of what’s to come. The full gallery will be available very soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. Stay tuned! 🙂

Heather & Tom’s wedding (#454)Heather has two great loves in her life: Her love for Tom. And her love for Jimmy. That’s Jimmy Choo (those are SHOES for the uninitiated :)). She could NOT have been more excited about a pair of shoes, and we can’t blame her at all. They were very cool shoes, and she had so much fun wearing them and sharing them with her guests. 🙂

We had such a fantastic day with them. With many of the family and friends gathering for photos at her parents house on the very scenic and beautiful Masten Lake, it was exactly the sort of day that they had planned together. It was fun, uncomplicated, and just perfect for them. Heather’s uncle served as their chauffeur, driving them away in a dune buggy. Heather and Tom couldn’t stop repeating to one another, “I can’t believe we’re actually married!” Their joy was simply overflowing.

A good time was definitely had by all during the reception at The Eagle’s Nest. Heather showed her moves on the dance floor and made sure Tom and all of their friends got involved in the fun-loving action. The staff of The Eagles Nest did an outstanding job with both decor and service (thank you, Heather & Tom, for the delicious Chilean Sea Bass meal! Yum!!). 🙂

We know you’re anxious to see the rest of the wedding photos, and we’re working very hard to get them ready. The online gallery will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. We’d love to hear from you, so please leave a comment here on the blog for Heather & Tom or for us!

  • Heather & Tom - Thank you for all the kind words!!! Sometimes the families can get a little wild, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!!! All we wanted was everyone to eat, drink, and dance….and boy, did we all ever!!! It was a fabulous day, that we have been reliving each day in our heads with the help of your beautiful photos!!! We can remmeber each moment as it happened thanks to you!!! You captured every moment perfectly!!! Thank you for doing such a beautiful job and “flowing” with us!!

  • Ulysses - Well, HELLO THERE, Mr. & Mrs. Fassell! 🙂

Guys, we had SUCH a good time with you both. The day was both relaxed and a whirlwind at the same time. Everything went so incredibly smoothly, and we’re so glad that you were able to do the most important thing — simply enjoy one another and enjoy your wedding day!

We can’t say enough good things about your families. It was easy to see just how much everyone loves you both. There was so much sincerity and closeness seen on that day. I know you probably never wanted it to end. From all the hugs early in the day, down to the hilarity at your reception, it was a unique event filled with many important memories that we wanted to preserve for you.

We are also so glad we got to spend some time with just the two of you. I think that’s what Jenni and I enjoy the most, because not only does it allow us the chance to enjoy our two favorite people during the day, but it also lets us create a few piece of art that we hope you’ll love for your walls and album.

Thank you SO MUCH for choosing us. It was every bit as much fun as we knew it would be.

    Hugs from me and Jenni!December 8, 2007 – 12:32 PM

  • Heather & Tom Fassell - Jenni & Ulysses–

We just wanted to thank you for your outstanding work. We couldn’t be happier with the photographs, but even more so, we could not be happier with how professional, yet fun, you both were on our wedding day! We were just on cloud nine the whole day, and you captured that with every single photo. It was everything we ever hoped for, planned for, wanted, and so much more! The photographs were exquisite! I have no idea how we are going to choose for our album! One photo is more beautiful than the next. You captured our happiness, our tears (of joy, of course!), our familes, and our love on our most special day! And for this, we cannot thank you enough!!

    With sincere thanks–

Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Heather FassellDecember 7, 2007 – 5:51 PM

  • Jenni - Hi Janet,

It was so nice to hear from you! Thank you for your incredibly kind comments. It was wonderful getting to know you and your family. We enjoyed every moment of Heather and Tom’s wedding, and it was an honor to be there. If I can assist in any way as you make choices, just let me know.

    Sincerely,

    JenniNovember 30, 2007 – 4:08 PM

  • Janet Benson - Hi Jenni and Ulysses-

Just want to tell you how utterly exquisite your photos are – some I’d even venture to refer to as works of art! Thank you so very much for all your expertise in capturing Heather and Tom’s wedding. It was a pleasure to have you with us that day! Family and friends have commented to us repeatedly how wonderful and kind you both were – something we already knew!! We appreciate the kindness and patience you showed to our guests. Now the hard part – sorting through and choosing from the hundreds of beautiful photos you have given us. Again, our sincere thanks! It was a pleasure to work with you!

Cory & Joe’s wedding was definitely one to remember. We enjoyed the opportunities for photography so much. After receiving their Magazine style album, Cory sent us this exciting note:

Hi Jenni & Ulysses,

All I have to say is incredible!!!! We love the album – it is more gorgeous than I had imagined it to be. We love it!!!!! I can’t wait to show it to everyone we know. It is so detailed. I can’t believe how you have gotten everyone’s expressions at the right time, and I love how you can see everyone and their expressions in the backgrounds. Now I see what you meant about the album telling a story. It really does. I don’t know how you guys do it, but as I have said before you two are amazing artists. Thank you again so much and it was such an amazing pleasure working with you guys. I can’t wait to get pregnant so we can use you guys again. LOL……

With Love,
Cory

Cory & Joe, we can’t wait either. ; ) Thank you so much for such a heartfelt note, and especially for the precious time we shared with you on your wedding day.

  • Ulysses - Cory, you are so sweet. Every time we look at the photos from our morning with you and Joe, our hearts just melt. We enjoyed that photo shoot so much! And we were even happier with the results in the way everything turned out. There were so many unique elements to those photos that can’t be repeated or duplicated, so you guys definitely have something special.

DEFINITELY let us know when you’re going to be expecting little ones. I can already imagine what a beautiful maternity and baby session you’d have.

    I’ll stop right there. LOL! 😀November 27, 2007 – 9:51 AM

  • Cory - Jenni & Ulysses,
Wow I am so excited that you posted my note. It makes me feel so special. I have shown everyone I know the album and they can’t believe how beautiful it is. Everyone says I have never seen anything like this before….and I just sit there thinking ha ha I know. So Bad. LOL
I even had someone say it makes me want to get my wedding album redone.
Anyway, I want to do it again we had so much fun, but since we can’t, at least I can relive my day over & over again every time I look at our amazing album. Hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Talk to you soon.

    Love,
    CoryNovember 25, 2007 – 12:20 PM

Kimberly & EricIt’s been an awesome week for photography! We were especially looking forward to Kim & Eric’s e-session because we’ve known Kim for some time, having already photographed several of her friends’ weddings. We wanted to shout about it when they asked us to be their photographers! But thankfully, we contained ourselves so they wouldn’t think we were completely crazy. However, we do believe this fantastic couple will be shouting about it to their friends when they get to see their photos!

(Click image to see a larger version.)

Early in the session, Kimberly said, “This feels like a fashion shoot.” Yep!!… that was exactly the idea, and we had such a blast with them. We met at a gorgeous location overlooking a beautiful autumn-colored valley, just the right setting for this affectionate couple. Their wedding in the summer of ’08 at the Catlin Gardens will be another reunion of sorts for all of us, and we can’t wait. 🙂

Keep your browsers pointed to our main website, as their online gallery is coming very soon to the “Client Proofs” area. And be sure to leave a comment either for Kim & Eric, or for us by clicking on the “Comments” link below. We love hearing from you.

  • Ulysses - Kim & Eric, I think you could tell DURING the session just how jazzed we were at the shots we were getting. You can imagine our own excitement once we actually had a chance to open them up and get a good look at them. You each did an AMAZING job right from the get-go. And this gives you a preview of the sort of stunning results we can achieve on your wedding day at the Catlin Gardens!

We’re so excited to be your photographers, guys. We’re going to have an awesome time with you. 😀

We were thrilled to see that Kylie and Scott enjoyed the photos from their Honeymoon Photo Shoot so much that they immediately placed an order for a few of their favorites.

Well, we’ve received those prints in our studio, and they look GORGEOUS! We love showing our work in larger sizes as these display so well on your walls. We can’t wait to send them out to Kylie & Scott.

As you’ll see below, their order includes a 20×30 metallic Art Mount (the lighthouse photo), a 20×20 Contemporary Collection, and an 11×14 sepia metallic Art Mount, as well as 3 sets of gorgeous art thank-you cards. What an amazing display of art they will have on their walls! 🙂

Debbie & MikeDebbie & Mike are two of the kindest people you’d ever want to meet. We knew from our first meeting with them that we wanted to be their photographers. Since this was their first time ever working with professional photographers, they were super excited about the session, as were we.

Our streak of beautiful autumn weather was still with us, and Debbie & Mike took full advantage of it. Debbie’s smile brightened every frame we took of her, and Mike provided a constant and steady presence of warmth to support her. They were perfect together, and we all had a great time as we walked the small town for photos. If they were at all nervous with two cameras pointed at them, it didn’t show one bit. 🙂

The full gallery will be up very soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. So keep your browsers ready for this bubbly couple. We can’t wait for their wedding in ’08. We love getting feedback, so leave us a note by clicking on the “Comments” link after you’ve seen their pictures! 🙂
