Jamie & Paul’s wedding day was filled with happy superlatives. Althought it was raining heavily when we arrived at her parents’ house, we assured Jamie that we would take care of the weather. 🙂 Any concerns evaporated as she began putting on her stunning gown by Vera Wang, decorated with a cluster of grapes at the left waist and elegantly accessorized by her grape-themed earrings. Hair and makeup completed, she was truly a breathtaking sight.

Paul was ready and waiting at the church, dressed in a very distinguished chocolate-colored suit (I’d love to find one like this). He had no problem letting his enthusiasm show. We could not have been happier for each of them. Following the ceremony, we all headed for The Garrison, where a new phase of our photography began when we were able to spend some private time with Jamie & Paul. They relaxed and enjoyed themselves, while behind them was the beautiful Hudson River and the setting sun, on one of of the most incredible autumn days you could imagine. Together we were able to create some absolutely STUNNING pieces of work. We cannot wait to show them the gallery, including our personal favorites from this session. 🙂

Jamie & Paul, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with you. We want to offer our sincerest thanks for the way you’ve trusted us since Day #1 and allowed us to do our best for you. You’re a beautiful couple, and we deeply appreciate the relationship we’ve been able to cultivate with you. And thank you so much for the excellent meal.

The complete gallery is coming soon and will be found in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. While we’re preparing the gallery, here is a set of highlights. Thank you so much for the kind words. Jamie attributes her ability to dip so dramatically to her exercise routine and her kick-boxing. Well, if this is so, we can definitely say that it paid off! 🙂

This was one of my favorites from the day, especially since it had been raining all day; we just knew we’d have the opportunity to get outdoors with them. In fact the day provided so much variety that we couldn’t have been happier.

Take care! Hope to hear from you again soon.

It reminded us so well of our time spent during our engagement shoot with them, which is exactly what I think we all wanted from this session. With unseasonably warm temperatures and blue skies on this October afternoon, Lena and Justin couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Lena was so bubbly and yet relaxed at the same time. She was able to simply enjoy every facet of her day. The light in the bridal suite of Round Hill House was simply luscious, inviting us to freely capture the excited glow of Lena and her bridesmaids. 🙂

Once she was ready, Lena and Justin saw one another for the first time that day in a sort of private “reveal” of Lena in her beautiful gown. Their happy expressions were framed by the autumn colors, making for wonderful photo opportunities. The ceremony was just as enjoyable. Lena and Justin stood in the shade of the setting sun as they read their vows to one another. They were so in love at that moment that they couldn’t help but give one another a quick kiss even before being pronounced as husband and wife. 🙂

Lena & Justin, we adored spending time with you. The warmth of your family connections tied this day together, and we were so happy to be a part of the day’s events. Thank you for choosing us. And thank you for an excellent meal!

Their online gallery will be posted soon, upon their return from their honeymoon. You’ll find it in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. And please feel free to leave a comment on this blog for Lena & Justin, or for us. Until then, enjoy this brief preview of images. Click the PLAY button to begin the show.

I think what a lot of people don’t realize is that capturing the photos — as important as that is — is only the first half of the process. After that, there is so much that goes into telling your wedding day story. You and Jason had a day filled with so much heart and love from your friends, and we wanted to give as much as we could to the album process so you’d feel extremely proud of it as a whole.

There is truly no better compliment to us than a couple like yourselves who are in love with your photos and with your album. 🙂

    Luv you guys. Take care!

  • Annie - Everyone that has seen our album is going nuts!! They absolutely love it and couldn’t get over how beautiful it is! The #1 comment is, “I have NEVER seen a wedding album as wonderful as this.” And you know I just smile and say thanks, but really am thinking – I know!!!!!

Each time we look at (with our little white gloves!), it takes us back to our day!!

Thanks for taking the time to make it so special!!

January & Glenn’s wedding (#69)When January & Glenn commissioned us for their wedding, we knew that we were going to love photographing this couple. A beautiful pair both inside and out, January and Glenn chose to see one another before their ceremony. This turned out to be the perfect arrangement for them, as they shared moments for just the two of them privately. Seeing Glenn slowly spin his bride around as he gazed at her was absolutely precious.

The beautiful Chateau Hathorn was the site for both their ceremony and reception. We can never say enough good things about this venue, the staff there, and the food :). Helene had every detail taken care of. It’s no wonder January & Glenn felt completely comfortable in this unique venue. We were able to enjoy a break in the rainy day, when we took the couple outside for some romantic photos before enjoying the excellent dinner and party inside. Their tight friendships with their circle of friends was also a joy to see.

January & Glenn, spending the day with you was like being with family. We always enjoy these sorts of experiences where we can take our time to get to know our couples, which makes what we do so worthwhile. Thank you, also, for the incredible meal.

We know you’ll be thrilled to see your wedding photos. The online gallery will be posted soon to the “Client Proofs” area of our main website, so keep your browsers ready. If any of our readers would like to leave a comment, please do so by clicking on the “Comments” link below. We love hearing from you.

  • Jenni - Sarah and Ryan, it is always so wonderful to hear from you! I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed the trip down memory lane with January & Glenn’s pictures. The Chateau Hathorn truly is a special place, and one of our favorites to photograph. Of course, the gorgeous couples we have had there haven’t hurt, either. ; )

We hope to see you again soon. Thanks for keeping in touch!

    Hugs,
    JenniNovember 16, 2007 – 12:18 PM

  • Sarah - We were so excited to learn that Jenni and Ulysses were shooting a second wedding at the Chateau Hathorn – truly the perfect blend of photographer and location. The wedding looked beautiful and the pictures look amazing! Seeing them brought up many wonderful memories of our June 2 wedding. It was really incredible to see another couples wedding as others probably viewed ours.

January and Glenn – You both looked just as happy at your wedding as we felt at ours! I am sure you will adore your album, ours blows us away every time we open it. May you find years of health, happiness and love!

Lots of love and more gratitude than we could ever express!

  • Ulysses - We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the pictures, Linda. It proves just how valuable photos are, especially when you may not have been there yourself. We work hard to create the “you-are-there” feeling so that you feel as much like a participant in the day’s affairs as anyone else.

Thanks so much. I hope you continue to enjoy them! 🙂October 28, 2007 – 12:14 AM

We promised we’d be back to tell you more about Kylie & Scott. Well, we recently got back to the office and have had some time to put together a preview of photos from their honeymoon. 🙂

Honeymoon??? That’s right! Kylie & Scott asked us to join them for a day of fun, fashion, and beauty on Cape Cod. And the photo session did NOT disappoint. It was quite simply an a-MAY-zing day with them. We could not have asked for two more enthused and trusting individuals as our models in front of the camera. A shoot like this was actually Kylie’s dream, and we were so happy to have been a part of it.

We walked the streets of one of their favorite towns on the Cape, and shot in locations as unusual as a small graveyard (that’s right!), a very cool lighthouse that was just perfect as their backdrop, and concluding with a spectacular sunset shoot in the Ocean (Kylie & Scott helped me appreciate that it was NOT a big lake). 😉

But enough talk! Let’s show you some pictures! Click the “PLAY” button below.

Kylie & Scott, thank you SO much for the perfect day with you. You’re a beautiful couple. We could not have asked for a better time. And without you, who knows when we would have ever discovered the Cape! Love you guys!!!

We’re working on preparing your entire wedding and honeymoon galleries, which you’ll soon find in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. As always, we’d love to hear from you and your friends/family on what you think of the photos and your experience. Enjoy! 🙂

A thanks goes out to the Main Street Gourmet and other shop owners of Main Street in Orleans, who allowed us to have so much fun there. 🙂

  • Jenni - Thank you all for your comments! The whole gallery is now available on our site, so I hope you’re enjoying all the photos. We had an incredible time with the two of them! 🙂October 31, 2007 – 6:53 PM

  • Betsey - OMG, these pics are gorgeous… absolutely GORGEOUS! Kylie and Scott really are two of the most photogenic people I know. I can’t wait to see more pics from the wedding and the honeymoon!October 23, 2007 – 10:09 AM

  • Mom Luik - WOW-these pictures are awsome. You guys are terrific and I
    can’t wait to see more. Mom luikOctober 23, 2007 – 7:49 AM

  • Scott - It wasn’t that bad! I just wanted to reiterate how awesome a time we had and how much we love the photos so far. We can’t wait to see the rest (Kylie makes me check about every ten minutes 😉 )October 22, 2007 – 8:22 PM

  • Ulysses - Joanna, that’s so fantastic to hear! We hope all of Kylie & Scott’s friends & family are enjoying them, too.

It was a real thrill to visit several different spots for photos while we were out there. We had a chance to get a lot of different “looks” to the photos, keeping the extended session fresh for both ourselves and our couple.

On the wedding day itself, one of the things that kept us smiling was receiving comments from guests as they were leaving and saying to us, “Have fun out on the Cape!” We didn’t realize until then how many people knew that we were joining Kylie & Scott. I guess they had been telling others about it. Just awesome! 🙂

Kylie & Scott were real troopers, too, particularly when we reached the water at sunset. I knew it was cold, but I wasn’t quite expecting it to be THAT cold! And Kylie — amazing girl that she is — was pretty much ALL the way in the water, as you can see from the last slide in the show. I had to applaud her as they walked back towards the shore… right before asking them to go back out there in the water again for a couple of final photos. LOL!!! 🙂October 22, 2007 – 7:44 PM

  • Joanna - I am LOVING the pictures!! the ones on the beach with the sunset are absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to see more!October 22, 2007 – 4:02 PM

When we were first contacted by Kylie & Scott, we truly had no idea just how much FUN we’d have with them. We met them for the first time when they came up from Maryland for their engagement session. Their wedding day was even more enjoyable. Besides Kylie’s natural beauty and Scott’s hilarious sense of humor, the thing that stood out about them as a couple is their deep friendship and devotion to one another. Seeing them together, anyone would know how inseparable they are. And so we wanted our photography of their wedding to emphasize those same qualities of their bond of friendship and their closeness.

Kylie & Scott devoted a LOT of time to photos, and the results were well worth it. First they had a private session where they saw one another before the ceremony. Then after their beautiful ceremony and reception with their friends, they spent more time with us taking photos around sunset time. That precious time together resulted in some stunning photos, as you can see from these previews (click on any image to see it larger).

Kylie & Scott, we owe you a HUGE thanks and hugs for finding us and putting so much of your trust in us. We could not have asked for a better day for the two of you. Thank you for the meal, and the time with your friends and family. We know you’re going to be thrilled with the photos. The gallery will be up soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website.

But our story isn’t over. Kylie & Scott invited us to join them for yet another session of shooting during their honeymoon in Cape Cod. All I can say is: OH… MY… GOODNESS!! We can’t wait to blog about that day and show you some more photos. We’re busy processing them, so it may take a little time, but it will be well worth the wait. Keep your browsers bookmarked to this blog. 🙂

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Kylie & Scott! It’s so great to hear from you two. It really does seem like YESTERDAY that we’d spent the time shooting with you on your honeymoon. We’re still incredibly pumped up by it and have been talking to everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) about the experience.

We’ve had a full weekend of beautiful weddings, so we’ve been away for a while now. But we’re back in the office this week and can’t wait to boast about your honeymoon shoot. Believe me when I say we’re as anxious to see the pictures as you guys are. We know the images are going to be spectacular because you both were so accommodating in going along with whatever ideas we had in mind for you, taking some risks along the way, and trusting us completely. Believe me — It’s going to be so worth it. 😀

We just love you both. Thanks so much for the opportunity of spending so much time with you.

Keep your eyes on the blog — I’m hoping to have another preview for you tomorrow. 😉October 21, 2007 – 11:42 PM

  • Kylie & Scott - Jenni and Ulysses,

Scott and I are back from our honeymoon, and we just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that we are so excited to see the pictures! We had such a blast with you, and just wanted to extend our sincerest thanks!

    ~Kylie and Scott

P.S. the first couple of pictures are great! The suspense is killing me for the rest!October 21, 2007 – 7:29 PM

  • Ulysses - Thanks so much, Joanna!

Go ahead and STALK AWAY! We love it when others are enjoying the pictures and the experiences as much as we are.

We were so happy to meet you, too! We can tell you’re a person with a lot of life and energy. We loved that about you, and we’re hoping to hear from you soon! 😉

We’re away shooting more weddings this weekend, but as soon as we’re back in the office, we’ll be working on prepping Kylie & Scott’s photos for you guys. Lots of fun, romance, and beauty to come….October 19, 2007 – 9:00 AM

  • Joanna - Jenni and Ulysses,

Already the pictures look amazing!! Kylie and Scott were so happy and in love throughout the day, and you guys were definitely there to capture every special moment. I can’t wait to see the rest of the shots. I have been checking the blog like a crazy stalker, so I’m sure I will be one of the first ones to see the whole shabang! Again- you guys were great, and it was such a pleasure to meet you. When my day comes, expect a phone call 🙂

We could not have had a more enjoyable time at Caroline & Jason’s wedding. The day started with their seeing one another privately before their ceremony. We love these periods because of the opportunity to catch such unique and emotional moments. It’s not “traditional”, but it worked beautifully for this couple, who are ALL about doing things differently. Fantastic!

They had so many unique details at their wedding – from Caroline’s pink striped designer shoes, to open seating with vases of varied gorgeous flowers on each table by the Floral Cottage, to hundreds of origami swans handmade by Jason, to a Beatles tribute band. Peggy Merced, their tireless coordinator, made sure every detail was perfect.

To show how much emphasis this hip couple placed on time together, and making sure this time was recorded with style and vision, Carol & Jason had asked us to join them the next day for a photo session in the orchard where they were engaged. They put their wedding clothes back on, and Jason brought his late model Honda motorcycle for some really cool photos (Caroline had a modified helmet complete with veil!). We then went to a nearby diner for a burger and pie, with us still shooting the whole time.

Caroline & Jason, we can’t thank you enough. It’s been so nice getting to know you and your families. And being raised in LA (Louisiana) myself, I felt completely at home with so many of your Louisiana guests. I should have asked for a few down-home recipes to take with me. 🙂

Your gallery will be ready in time for your return from your honeymoon, in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. For now, enjoy this slideshow preview. Click the PLAY button to start the show. And for any who would like to leave a note for us or for Caroline & Jason, please click the “Comments” link below. Enjoy!

This is fantastic. Jenni and I hope everyone is enjoying the photos! We’d love to hear from you about some of your favorite images and favorite moments from the wedding day. We want to hear from all of you Louisiana and other Southern peeps! 🙂

Though we already knew we would hit it off and gel together as a team, we didn’t realize how well Grace + Mike would photograph together until the day of their engagement session. We had a beautifully perfect day walking around a gorgeous park. Grace’s parents watched over the couple’s five-month-old lab mix during much of our session, but we also got to take a few with Grace & Mike along with their puppy (who was very camera shy but actually did just fine).

Their wedding at the Glen Island Harbour Club can’t come soon enough.

Here’s a preview photo, but you’ll be able to see a lot more in their gallery. Look for it very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. And please feel free to leave a comment here by clicking on the “Comments” link immediately below their photo.

Alexander @ 4 months (#52)Yesterday was the second portrait session for little Alex, in what will be a series of sessions over his first year of life.

This little guy is a star!! He did exactly what we asked, as if he could totally understand our direction throughout the whole shoot. We got tons of smiles, and we did lots of laughing ourselves! We thoroughly enjoyed watching Jesyca & Bill’s delight in their beautiful little boy.

At the end of the session, they mentioned that Bill had a special tattoo created, featuring Alex’s actual little handprints. Of course, we had to do something special with that! Right on cue, Alex turned on the intensity… isn’t he amazing?

Enjoy this preview – the whole gallery will be available soon in the “Clients Proofs” area of our main site.

Amanda and Jason simply could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day! With brilliant blue skies, a warm breeze, an amazing mountain location, and lots of friends and family around them, it was just ideal in every way. Ulysses and I were so excited to meet up with this adorable couple again, and we started the day with both of them preparing to see each other. Once every detail was in place, they had a private meeting on the stairs leading up to their mountain cabin. You could see and feel their excitement and love for each other. We then had time for some photos with them and the gorgeous scenery before the ceremony began.

The ceremony location at Onteora Mountain House absolutely takes my breath away, so we decided to give you a preview photo showing their ceremony while Ulysses is busily preparing the rest of the gallery. Isn’t it amazing??

Amanda and Jason, thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your lives, and for making us feel so welcome. You are warm and special people. Your entire gallery will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main site. Until then, enjoy this preview. 🙂

The photos are amazing! Thank you so much for capturing so many incredible moments from our wedding day. Seeing all those smiling faces reminds us that everyone had a blast. The photos of friends and family intermingling are touching. It’s so great to get a glimpse of those moments that we missed the first time around.

We had the absolute best time on our wedding day and you are two of the many people we have to thank for that. Having you there was like having two more friends sharing our day with us. Thank you so much for everything.

Getting together with Stephanie & Matthew was like a happy reunion for us. We’ve photographed a few of their friends’ weddings now and had a chance to get to know them, so we were really looking forward to this session. With Stephanie’s fashionable look, her incredible smile and blue eyes, and Matt’s cool approachable presence, we knew this was going to be a great photo session.

We’re shooting a wedding today, but we couldn’t wait to post up a stunning preview from their fun e-session. We eagerly anticipate their wedding at the Poughkeepsie Grandview in 2008. 🙂

  • Ulysses - Hello, gorgeous! 😀

I’m really glad to hear you guys enjoyed yourselves so much. Even though our emphasis is on producing outstanding photos for both of you, our overriding goal is to make sure that your entire experience with us is 1) uncomplicated, 2) dynamic, 3) FUN, and 4) unforgettable — pleasantly so.

If you enjoyed yourselves and are having some difficulty choosing and deciding what to do with the images, then we’ve pretty much done what we set out to do. I hope you’re each proud of the way you look and that you’re blown away by your photos. 🙂

Hugs to you both! Can’t wait to see you guys again soon.

We had such a great time on Friday and we love the pictures. You guys really have a knack for “capturing the moment.” Choosing which photos to order is not going to be easy = )

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Annie & Jason!!! 🙂

You know, I’m not surprised AT ALL that you guys are the first to write. I mean, it just wouldn’t be right if someone else had first dibs at commenting on this blog entry!

It’s so good to hear from you both. I see that married life has only made you even more excited about life, just as crazy as ever about one another, and more joyful. Thank you SO MUCH for the incredibly kind words about your experience with us. We never get tired of hearing things like this, and it really does keep us PUMPED for every other photo shoot thereafter.

Wait until you see the photos! These guys did an awesome job! A little romance, a little fashion, loads of fun… LOL! 😀September 30, 2007 – 6:24 PM

  • Annie - Hi Ulysses and Jenni!!!!

We were so excited for Matt and Stephanie to get their photos taken for their engagement- that everyone knew we would be the first people on to check out the results. There was no doubt that you would get amazing pictures of them. Just seeing this one shot makes me so happy for them! They are just the cutest couple and we wish them only the best! Not to mention your amazing abilty to capture what we truly feel—–especially since we sometimes we feel so awkward in front of the lens and are not used to getting our photos taken. You two really know how to show the TRUE feelings!!!

Today the weather was perfect for a wedding and hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as you did at our wedding!!!!! HA!!!!!LOL!!!!

We will talk with you soon!!
    All the best-

Nicole and Ralph can’t wait to see their little baby girl. We first met Nicole as a bridesmaid in Cory & Joe’s wedding. We didn’t even realize at the time she was nearly six months pregnant until she’d told us. She looked fantastic then, and she was positively glowing when we arrived to meet her and Ralph for the maternity photo shoot. I think we were all excited to see one another again.

Both Nicole and Ralph did just wonderfully. The session was fun and easy-going, and the temperatures were just perfect for this outdoor session. The shoot consisted of some shooting for the family, some romantic portraits for Nicole and Ralph, and even a number of “glamour” photos to show off just how beautiful Nicole looks now in her eighth month of pregnancy. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to show off their complete gallery. We also can’t wait to meet their newborn little girl. Isn’t she going to feel special, knowing her first photo shoot was planned before she was even born? 🙂

Look for the online gallery very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. And since we always love hearing from everyone, please leave a comment for us by clicking the “Comments” icon immediately below.

  • Ulysses - Cory, we were excited, too! We had an awesome day with them! And Nicole was such a trooper, trying all of our crazy ideas (you know how we like to work). We told her to make sure to let us know if she was tired or needed anything, but she just kept on going and going along with us. Same for Ralph! They did great together. Toward the end of our session, the baby was actually kicking, so we’re guessing she was having a good time too. 😀

    We had a blast. 🙂September 24, 2007 – 12:32 AM

  • Cory - Hi Jenni and Ulysses,
When Nicole told me she had spoken with you and you were going to be shooting her maternity session, I can’t even tell you how excited I was.
Oh my god!!!! I love it and I can’t wait to see the rest.
Nicole you are glowing and look beautiful. I can’t wait to see you….September 24, 2007 – 12:02 AM

Nicole & Mike - 01

Ulysses and I will be making a visit to beautiful Vero Beach, Florida in November. It’s the perfect location for portraits, so we’d love to see you while we’re there! We’re available for maternity, baby and family portraits. Also, for those married couples who would like to have a fun fashion session back in their wedding clothes, be sure to contact us – we have TONS of great ideas.

We’ll be taking a limited number of sessions, so please contact us ASAP for more information and an appointment!

This is probably no surprise to those that have known Nicole for a long time, but we found out on her wedding day that when Nicole is really excited, she giggles a lot. It’s adorable! Well, Nicole was doing a lot of giggling on her wedding day. We were so excited to be greeted by her hugs when we met. After spending some time with her preparation, we went over to see Jeff, who was likewise in a great mood himself, surrounded as he was by his fun crew of groomsmen. Before we knew it, it was time to head out for their beautiful ceremony.

The reception experience at the Hilton was first-rate. The staff there incredibly attentive to the needs of both the happy couple, as well as to Jenni and myself, so we’d like to thank them so much for their help.

Nicole & Jeff, thanks so much for the opportunity to work with you. We truly enjoyed our day with you. We know you and your family will be anxious to see the photos, so we’ve prepared this brief preview while we get the rest of the gallery ready. Just click on the PLAY button to start the show:

The complete online gallery of wedding photos will be available in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website upon their return from the honeymoon. Until then, enjoy the slideshow above, and please leave a comment by clicking on the “Comments” icon below. 🙂

Kristina & Cory (1 of 2)Kristina is going to school in California, so it was actually her mom who first found us while helping Kristina organize for the wedding. And we’re so glad they did! Although this e-session was our first time meeting them, we fell into a very easy rhythm of talking, getting to know one another, and having a blast during their photo shoot.

Perhaps the best thing about working with them is that they did so many little things quite naturally in the course of their showing affection to one another. We loved it and know they’ll be both surprised and thrilled to see the results.

Kristina & Cory, thanks for making the trip all the way out to meet us. There is no substitute for spending some quality time with our couples. It was wonderful meeting Kristina’s parents, as well, and we can’t wait to see the entire family for the wedding at Catlin Gardens. 🙂

Their gallery will be up very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website, so keep your web browsers ready. Until then, we’d love to see your comments for Kristina & Cory or about the pictures by clicking on the “Comments” link immediately below.

We’ve been looking forward to Jill and Adam’s destination wedding for a long time. First of all, they are such a great couple – fun and energetic, totally in love, and not afraid to show it. On top of that, it was the week of our own 18th wedding anniversary, so a getaway to Sheldrake Point Vineyards, in the Finger Lakes region of NY, was a perfect escape for us in the middle of our most intensely busy season. It is such a beautiful area and an incredibly romantic setting for a wedding. The rain stopped just in time for their outdoor ceremony at the winery, with views of the vineyards behind them, and Cayuga Lake in front. There was hardly a dry eye at their ceremony. Afterward, we spent some private time with Jill and Adam for pictures by the water and in the vineyard. Of course, the sun even came out just when we needed it. 🙂

After a fun night of celebration with their families and friends, Jill and Adam were up again bright and early for a “morning-after” session with us! The plan was to go to a gorgeous nearby waterfall, but it was pouring once again. Jill put her gown back on, and Adam his tux pants, and we decided to start shooting inside the hotel instead. When we checked a few minutes later, the rain had stopped, so we raced out to the waterfall. Because of the rain from the past 24 hours, we not only had the waterfall all to ourselves, but we had a beautifully roaring waterfall! We couldn’t have planned it better. 🙂

With both of them very comfortable in front of television cameras as part of their work, and Jill having some modeling experience, they were willing to do anything we asked. We got some absolutely incredible pictures around (and in!) the falls. We can’t wait for them to see the breathtaking results!! For now, here is a sneak peak at their photos. Just click on the PLAY button (Play button) to start the show.

Jill and Adam, thank you so much for your complete trust, for the romantic table for two and amazing meal during our “anniversary week”, and for truly treating us like family.

Their proof gallery will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” area our main website. Please feel free to leave a comment on the pictures or send your thoughts for Jill and Adam by clicking on he “Comments” link below.

  • Uncle Mike & Mary Lou - To Jill and Adam,

The pictures are fantastic, and you 2 look great! Jill, you were a beauty since the day you were born, so it’s no wonder why the pictures came out the way they did. You two make such a great couple, always smiling and happy, don’t ever lose that. Best of luck to the both of you, and we can’t wait to see you at Allegheny.

  • Ulysses - JILL!!! ADAM!! It’s so good to hear from you guys.

What an incredible day you had together. We absolutely loved the way everyone’s attention was so fixed upon you during every moment of the wedding day. It made for some really captivating photographic moments.

But it probably goes without saying that for myself and Jenni, our favorite moments were when we were able to take time alone with you two. Having already done something very similar for your engagement session, we were blown away by how well you did on your wedding day. The skies, the vineyard, your ability to really immerse yourselves into the moment… just fantastic.

And the “Morning After” session? Wow! Just WOW! I’m glad you’re enjoying the photos now, but wait until you see them in their finished form for your album and for wall prints. Several of these are heart-stoppers. Truly.

Thanks for investing in the TIME with us. The results will be SO well worth it.

Much love and hugs from myself and Jenni! We’ll be in touch real soon. 🙂September 18, 2007 – 3:48 PM

  • Jill - Oh my gosh-these pictures were so worth our 2 week on a remote island wait!!! They are beautiful and capture our celebration so accurately!! The life and love just eminates from these pictures. Thank you so much for such amazing work-we’ll start doing our homework right now!! xoxoxo Jill and AdamSeptember 18, 2007 – 3:17 PM

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Gina & Mike! Wow! It’s so good to hear from you. 🙂

Ithaca was such a neat place to visit. We had no idea it was as beautiful up there as it is. And we loved walking through the town and getting a taste of just how colorful and interesting a place it is. We could probably have enjoyed shooting the place and the people there for days at a time.

The falls were a real highlight of our visit there with Jill & Adam. We’re so glad it worked out because they’d planned on this excursion for quite a while, and we wanted to make sure it happened. Everything worked out even better than we’d imagined it would.

We still come up to the Boston area from time to time, so give us a call if you find your family is “expanding”! We’d love to be of help and spend some time with you again. The photos would be AMAZING! 🙂 🙂

    Love you guys!September 16, 2007 – 8:02 AM

  • Gina Bellofatto - What beautiful pictures! Michael and I went to college in Ithaca and spent much time at those falls – we never thought of it as a “destination!” 😉

I love coming back here and seeing all the wonderful things you guys do!

    With love,
    GinaSeptember 12, 2007 – 6:59 PM

Jan & Greg’s weddingAlthough it’s been a busy 2007 wedding season, we truly enjoy hearing from couples we’ve worked with in the past. Be sure to keep up with us through our blog, and drop us notes to say “hello” and let you know how you’re doing! 🙂

We still feel connected to couples such as Jan & Greg, who had a beautiful wedding last summer at Beckwith Pointe in New Rochelle, NY. In fact, we continue to hear from (and work with) mutual friends even as time goes on. Jan & Greg sent this delightful note:

Jenni & Ulysses-

I just saw the pictures of Annie and Jason’s wedding. What can I say but WOW. You both are the most phenomenal photographers I have ever seen. As Greg and I approach our one year anniversary (can you believe it??), I still get emotional when I look at our fabulous album and relive one of the most magical and perfect days of our lives. When I open the album the emotions flood back like we are doing it all over again. I wish we could because we had such a great time! I keep trying to think of what Greg and I could do next to be able to have you both join and capture the moments of our lives as you did our wedding.

I just wanted to drop you both a note to say hi, as we approach our anniversary and wanted you to know how much your work has touched us. When we first met I remember telling you when asked what we were looking for in a photographer was to have someone capture the emotion of the day. I can truly say you did that beyond my wildest imagination. I didn’t ever think we would have what we have, and for that I thank you.

You are both wonderful, fun and caring individuals. Please stay in touch. If you are ever in California, please let us know.

Jan & Greg, we can tell that things are going so well for you out on the west coast. With the way we’re traveling these days, we may yet see you out there sometime soon! We’ll certainly keep in touch. 🙂

Kelly & David’s wedding (blindfolded) (02) Kelly & David had a perfect day for their September wedding. But what do you do when you have a groom who wants to see his bride privately for the first time BEFORE the ceremony, when they’re actually riding in the same limo together? You BLINDFOLD him, of course! 🙂

Kelly & David’s wedding (01)We led David to a quiet area in the place that had been arranged for him to see Kelly. His eyes were filled with emotion as she lifted his blindfold. It was a beautiful moment as he laid his eyes upon her, and we were thrilled to be able to capture it for them. Most of you know how much we love unique wedding gowns and gowns with splashes of brilliant color; so you can imagine our excitement over Kelly in her bridal gown, which was trimmed with brilliant scarlet. After a few minutes of quiet time together, we enjoyed a fun photo shoot with them, and then raced off to the ceremony. Their guest list was filled with many colorful and playful personalities, and getting to know their friends and family was definitely half the fun for us. 🙂

Enjoy these sample images above (and click for larger versions). Their online gallery is coming soon, so look for it in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Feel free to leave a note for Kelly & David, or for us if you wish, so we can read about how much you enjoyed the day or the photos.

  • Ulysses - Kelly & David, we’re really glad to hear you’re able to enjoy your photos while still on St. Lucia. What an awesome way to enjoy the honeymoon — you on the beach, a margarita in hand, a blanket on the sand, and a notebook on your lap while logged into your gallery. LOL! 😀

And you’re right… your day was filled with happiness and excitement. Everyone was truly thrilled for you guys, as were we. You really could not have asked for a more beautiful day. I don’t envy your job of choosing. We love them all, too! 😀

If you need any help at all, just let us know. Some brides opt to choose all of their pictures; others ask us to make all the choices. Or if you want something in-between, just give us a “budget” to make some additional selections to help round out the story and beauty of your wedding album. In any case, enjoy the entire process. We’ll be there to help through every step of the process. 🙂

    Give Dave a hug for us!September 16, 2007 – 7:57 AM

  • Kelly and David - Hey from St. Lucia! Dave and I are on our caribbean honeymoon. The resort that we’re currently at has wireless internet, so we are currently seated at a pool overlooking the ocean, checking out our wedding pictures. We specifically brought Dave’s laptop with us because we knew we wouldn’t be able to wait.
The pictures are fantastic, though we could only look at half at a time, we needed to recharge the laptop battery! We finally got to see the last couple hundred. They’re wonderful – everyone looks so happy – which is exactly how we wanted our day to be. Happy friends and family and gorgeous weather of course – what else could a bride ask for?
It’s going to be tough deciding which we want for our album. But we’ll leave that for when we get back!
Thank you Ulysses and Jenni for ‘capturing the moment’ so breathtakingly for us. 🙂
    Later, Kelly and DaveSeptember 12, 2007 – 6:56 PM

  • Fran Janczuk - Wish both of you a healthy and happy marriage. All the best.September 5, 2007 – 3:01 PM

January & Glenn’s e-sessionBelieve it or not: We photographed January in September! Okay, I’m corny that way. I’ve been wanting to say that ever since we first met January and Glenn only a few weeks ago. 😀

January and Glenn are a truly passionate couple. It takes only a few minutes with them to realize that they are also each other’s best friend. Their engagement session today was filled with plenty of conversation as we got to know one another much better, lots of humor, and loads of romance. Their lives are so busy and filled with activity that we wanted them to feel like they were going on a “date” for the period of time that we had with them. And that’s exactly what happened. It was just beautiful watching them slow down and enjoy one another. With each of them dressed with great style, we captured some amazing moments with them. We’re looking forward even more to their October wedding at the marvelous Chateau Hathorn in Warwick, NY.

Look for their gallery soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. We think you’re going to enjoy it as much as we did. Please feel free to leave comments by clicking on the “Comments” link immediately below. We love hearing from you.

  • Ulysses - Awww, Cory you are always such a sweetheart. We love hearing from you. Can you write to us EVERY DAY?

    LOL!

Thanks so much for the well wishes. We really do appreciate the kind words. I think the years we’ve spent together makes it even more enjoyable to do what we do as wedding photographers.

Since we were actually shooting on the day of our anniversary, we’re actually treating this entire month of September as a sort of “Anniversary Month”, with lots of little surprises for one another sprinkled throughout the month. A pretty cool way to keep the celebration going, right? Maybe we’ll continue it on through October, too! 🙂

    Thanks for writing!

P.S. — did you see the blog entry for Nicole’s maternity session? We had an awesome time with her and Ralph (and the baby, of course, even though she was present in-belly only). Can’t wait to show them all the pictures when I’m done processing them!September 24, 2007 – 12:03 AM
