Because our clients put so much trust in us, we’re always thrilled to see how many of those relationships continue for years after their wedding. We recently heard from Michael & Grace, one of our favorite couples, shortly after their wedding anniversary. Here are some excerpts:
Dear Jenni and Ulysses,
I’ve been meaning to e-mail you for a long, long time (months!). Thank you so much for the anniversary wishes! It’s hard to believe it’s been more than a year since the wedding. Sometimes it feels like the wedding was a long time ago, but mostly the past year has really flown by. Thinking back on the wedding day, you both and our time with you figures prominently in our memories (in a good way!). When Grace and I first started the process of wedding planning, I never thought that our photographers would make the day even more memorable and fun than it was going to be–but you managed to do just that! I can never say thank you enough.
Grace gave me a digital picture frame for Valentine’s day and I have your photos loaded on it. I’ve got it set to change the photo every 30 minutes. I often look over and think, “I love that photo, I should just change the settings so it stays up.” But then the next photo comes up and I think the same thing about that one! Over a year later, I continue to be thrilled with your work. Grace and I are wondering how many of your photos we can put up in our apartment without looking like the most narcissistic married couple there is.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Mike & Grace! And anyone who knows you like we do also knows that you’re not at all infatuated with yourselves. We hope your walls are virtually FILLED with the beautiful photos from your day (in a good way!) 🙂
This is why we love photography! While growing a successful business is important, we also recognize that photography has never been simply a means to an end for us; it’s really about the people we meet who make us smile. We’re privileged to know so many of our clients feel exactly the same way. The day that we stop feeling that way about photography is the day we’ll no longer be shooting. And we don’t foresee that happening anytime soon.
Lots more with Grace + Mike.
