Although it was our first time meeting them face to face, it felt as if we’d known Amanda + William for quite some time. Meeting at the beach gave us a chance to watch a glorious sunset, followed by an equally majestic view of a thunderstorm headed out to sea. As we lazily walked along the shore, we were able to produce some beautiful images for them. A perfect evening. We can’t wait to photograph their winter wedding at Fox Hollow!

Nicole & Tom are wonderfully original people. With Nicole’s flair and experience in the design industry, we knew the day would present a lot to look forward to. Breathtaking is the only word that described her in her Jenny Packham creation, the perfect choice for her. When it was time for Nicole to join Tom for a private Reveal, he was clearly very moved at seeing his stunning bride-to-be for the first time that day. We spent some precious moments with them for photos before guests arrived for the morning ceremony. The vows they wrote to each other were tender, honest, and open, leaving many eyes wet with tears of happiness. It was a spectacular day of great joy, renewal, and reunion. We’re incredibly thankful to Nicole & Tom for allowing us an inside look at who they are. Their personal touches on everything from the playful invitations and programs to the intricate origami decor for the centerpieces made the whole day feel uniquely theirs.

From the time we first met with Nicole & Tom, we knew we wanted to be their photographers. The reason why is easily seen in their photos. We love seeing their sometimes-quirky-but-always-cool approach to one another and to life. Whether sharing a date at an arcade or a romantic walk through a field of wild grass, they gave us insight into what a special couple they are. Photographing their wedding at the fabulous Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers is one of our most eagerly anticipated autumn events.

Rachel & Ross had the perfect wedding day. The incredible Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, overjoyed and smiling parents, a super fun wedding party, and plenty of opportunities for amazing photography all came together for a joyous celebration. It’s all there in their lovely wedding album, which is heading out for its new home with them today.

Thank you so much, Rachel & Ross. It’s not only your NAMES that we love, but we loved spending the day with you and creating this album for you. We know it’s going to bring back many great memories. Hugs for the puppies!

It was a beautiful day at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, and Rachel and Ross chose to see one another before their ceremony. As her family and closest friends looked on from a distance, it was such a privilege to photograph them during this intimate moment. They love pictures so much that we got to walk around the pier for an hour to capture some fun and fashionable photos of the two of them. This time together was so appreciated and important!

The rapidly waning light of their sunset ceremony lent a very intimate feel to the proceedings even though there were hundreds in attendance. You could tell that they could hardly believe it as they were pronounced as husband and wife. The cheering for them was incredible, as was the reception party to follow.

Rachel & Ross, we were truly moved by your beautiful day, and inspired by the deep love that your parents have for each of you. Rachel, we were particularly touched by the poem read by your grandmother. It was such a special day, and we sincerely thank you for choosing us and showing such confidence in us to take care of you on your wedding day. Thank you, too, for the amazing chilean sea bass dinner! Double yum!

Okay, I’m going to sound rather dorky for a moment, but when we got a call from “Rachel and Ross” about their wedding, I was as giddy as any fanboy from their names alone! Strange, right? Names can certainly have that effect

With the springtime air ushering in a burst of greenery and flowers, we were each excited about getting together again for their e-session. And Rachel and Ross each did an excellent job, allowing us to shoot to our hearts’ content. Just as exciting was Rachel’s mention that they would be bringing their two Wheaton terriers, who are an integral part of their family. The terriers had only recently been groomed and were excited to spend some time in the open fields.

The wedding will be at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan, only a few short months away. We can’t wait.

Melissa & Ethan’s wedding thrilled us! When we’d first met them many months ago, Melissa told us she was shy about photography. But we quickly gained her confidence and trust, and she is such a natural that we were not at all surprised at the amazing results on their wedding day. (Click image to the right to see a larger version.)

It was a beautiful May afternoon as we headed to The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. This premiere venue is known not only for its incredible views of the Hudson River, but also for its first-class treatment of guests. We absolutely cannot debate that excellent reputation. We arrived at The Lighthouse and were escorted to the bridal suite, where we met Melissa and her hairdresser. We immediately began photographing since Melissa didn’t want to miss a single detail. Soon, the suite was filled with family members. We enjoyed ourselves immensely because we got to mingle and meet everyone, all the while capturing everyone’s excitement. As Melissa’s incredible flower arrangements were arriving (provided by the exclusive services of Banchet Flowers) and the details for the ceremony were finalized, the family was ushered out so Melissa could finish preparing for her private meeting and photo session with Ethan.

Ethan was waiting outside The Lighthouse on the pier. It was warm but also breezy, perfect conditions for him to see his incredibly beautiful bride for the first time. Melissa slowly came behind Ethan to give him a hug. We let them enjoy a few moments together privately, and then began our portrait session with them — a bit of fashion, with a generous amount of playfulness, and allowing them to simply be themselves. It all made for a really, really cool and totally enjoyable time for everyone. We can’t wait for them to see the gorgeous results.

We can’t say enough positive things about The Lighthouse, and particuarly the attention to detail that the event coordinator, Eric, gave to every phase of the day. Abigail Kirsch is the exclusive caterer for The Lighthouse, and the service and food were exquisite (THANK YOU, Melissa & Ethan, for making us feel so at home as guests there). The live musical entertainment was provided by the soulful sounds of Hank Lane Music, who kept the happy audience on the floor all night, both young and old.

We had an amazing time on this day. And we could tell that Melissa & Ethan, no longer shy about photography, enjoyed it immensly, as well. This day capped off an incredible weekend of wedding photography for us.
