Even though it was our first time meeting Andrea & Justin face-to-face, we felt as though we’d known them for quite a while. They love taking walks around the town of Princeton, NJ, so it was an ideal place to join them for their engagement photo session. Keeping them close and connected in the middle of Princeton University’s beautiful camps was a true joy, and we loved how Andrea’s elegance and their mutual warmth shone through in the photos. Their wedding day at The Venetian is going to be fabulous!

When we first met Erin & George, we were ALL so excited about the prospects of working together that our first day of shooting couldn’t come soon enough! This beautifully upbeat couple truly put their hearts and devotion to one another into their session. Erin even went shopping in NYC and came away with an amazing new outfit chosen just for our shoot. Awesome! We love the way they allowed us to play with the evening’s dramatic light. Best of all, we had a great time simply getting to know them even better. And now it’s their wedding day at the Tides Estate that can’t come soon enough. Can’t wait to do this again with them!

We’ve known Jean for a long time now, as she was one of the friendliest of people we’d ever met at one of our favorite local venues. We used to talk even then about what her own wedding would someday be like. So what an exciting privilege it was when she actually called to ask us to be her wedding photographers! We couldn’t be more thrilled for Jean & Michael. They’d first met at a local Hannaford grocery store, so Jean called the same store to ask if we could have a little photographic fun there. They not only said “yes”, but even brought in a little extra help to clean up and restock the fruit & veggie bins just for our photo shoot.

Thanks so much to Hannaford for letting us have fun there with this fantastic couple. It gave an entirely new meaning to shopping for the best produce! We can’t wait for Jean & Michael’s beautiful wedding day.

We were really happy to meet up with Sora & Alexander for their engagement photos. During the month of June, there’s never any accounting for what the weather might do. But this cute couple took a chance and braved the forecast of impending thunderstorms. And what do you know!! The weather actually held up, while accommodating us with some dramatic changes between clouds and sunshine throughout their fun shoot. We’re each looking even more forward to their wedding day at the Inn at Fox Hollow.

We had an exciting time with Melissa & Alex for their engagement photo session! They were perfect partners, bringing out the best in one another for the photos. We loved not only the couple themselves, but also the way they let us play extensively with the dramatic light and shadows the day provided. Melissa pulls off casual glam like nobody’s business, and Alex… well, what a fantastic leading man he was!  Alex and I had a great time talking about Thomas Dean designer shirts… good man!! We’re so happy they’re enjoying their photos in so many artistic ways throughout their home. We really look forward to their summer wedding at The Garrison. I can’t even describe how excited I was when my beautiful hair stylist, Ada, told me she was engaged! But when Ada & Jim chose us as her photographers, that put my excitement over the top.  It only got better when we got together for their engagement session. Meeting Ada’s adorable daughter, Katie, was also a a privilege.  We know their wedding at Benmarl Winery this summer is going to be an event to remember.

We’re definitely anxious to see these two again for their big photo Reveal in our home studio, where they’ll enjoy their first look at the photos and experience some fun and inspiring ways to make use of them!

We really enjoy when we can go back with a couple to the very spot where they got engaged, which is exactly what we did with Amber & Matt. A meaningful location + a romantic couple + gorgeous blue skies and a warm setting Sun for amazing light were the perfect combination for this photo session. We can’t wait for their upcoming wedding at the beautiful Catlin Gardens this summer!

Amanda & Tony brought a lot of fun and energy to their engagement session. One of their favorite things to do is spend time at a beautiful nearby lake, so it was the perfect place to meet them for the fun and romance of their outstanding engagement photo session. We’re now looking forward to their autumn wedding at Catlin Gardens even more!

This fun couple made the 5-hour drive all the way down from Buffalo for their engagement session, which we did right in the same town where James proposed to Angela. When we asked about their favorite thing in their new hometown, they said, “Being together.” It’s that same togetherness that gave life to their photos. Angela & James: Thank you for being willing to climb rocks, navigate wet fields (even though Angela was wearing new wedges), and take on any pose with such style. It was so worth it! We’re going to have a spectacular time together at Round Hill this winter!

Their spring wedding at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill is going to be a fabulous affair, and we can’t wait to join them.

Just a few short minutes after meeting Helena & David, we knew we wanted to be their photographers. We were drawn not only to their gentle-but-fun personalities, but also to the affectionate way they naturally treat one another. What better ingredients could you need for starting a fulfilling life together? And those same qualities were clearly in evidence in their photos.

They came all the way up from their home in the D.C. area to finalize some of their wedding arrangements and to spend a little time with us for their engagement photos. We had a fabulous time getting to know them even better, and they did a remarkable job as our “models” for the day. Their wedding at the beautiful View on the Hudson is going to be a truly special day for them and for us.

Lovisa & Chris are a couple with lots of love for life and for one another in their hearts. When Lovisa called us about her wedding photography, she knew exactly what she wanted; we were so glad that we turned out to be a part of their plans. We were certainly drawn to them immediately, and their engagement photo session turned out to be as naturally fun as we had hoped. This naturally affectionate couple didn’t need any coaxing at all to allow their feelings for one another to show in front of the camera. Most of all, we enjoyed getting to know them better during their “date day” while we happily worked at producing great photos for them.

We know their wedding day at the Full Moon Resort is going to be even more amazing, and we can’t wait to join them in a couple weeks.

When we first met Jennifer & Jason, we were very impressed by their quiet strength as well as their strong sense of devotion to one another. And when they chose us as their wedding photographers, we wanted to be sure to interpret and convey those very same qualities in each of their photo sessions, both for the wedding as well as for this engagement session.

We had a really great time with them during the photo shoot. Jenn prepared beautifully and looked just fantastic. And Jason looked plain cool, just the way we wanted him to be. Their quality of keeping close to one another was really amazing to see through the camera lens, and we’re very happy with the results. We know they’re going to love the photos, and we can’t wait to share them. We look forward to their wedding this October at The Grandview.

When we met Stephanie & George for the first time at our studio, we were immediately taken with their fabulous chemistry. It’s  clear they not only have a great friendship, but they also have a genuine magnetism drawing them together. We wanted to make sure their engagement photos showed those same qualities of closeness and love.

Stephanie & George arrived full of excitement for their photo session, and they were each dressed to impress. As the saying goes, every girl needs a little black dress, and Stephanie’s was just perfect for her.  To rock the session with different looks, she brought along no less than two fashionable pairs of shoes (and you know how we love great shoes!). Sometimes the shoot was about showing their mutual energy, and other times… other times it was simply about the shoes. These two were up for anything, so getting them to have a carefree time even in the presence of cameras was no problem at all. We can’t wait to show them the amazing results. And we’re looking that much more forward to their summer 2010 wedding at The Grandview.

Laura & Chris have been in love for a long time now, so when they found us and asked us to be their photographers we were incredibly privileged to join them for their special day. They came all the way from the D.C. area for their engagement photo session, so we were pretty pumped to provide them with a session that would beautifully and artistically express how they feel about one another.

They each did an awesome job preparing for their photo session. Laura’s golden hair and makeup was beautiful, and she had a perfect summer dress to take advantage of our breezy summer morning. Chris brought along his guitar and entertained his muse with some strumming that would make any romantic bard proud.  We couldn’t have asked for a better session with this very sweet couple. We’re eager to share the results with them.

You’ve got to love it when you have a fabulous couple like Matt & Michele to photograph. We had a great relationship with them within minutes of meeting one another, so we knew from the very beginning that this was going to be a completely carefree photo session. They didn’t hold back in showing how they feel about one another. We were ecstatic over the many marvelous opportunities they gave us for beautiful photos.

Michele wore what I believe to be our very first polka dots of the season. Her fun, flirty dress and killer shoes were perfectly suited for her. Meanwhile, Matt sported a cool pair of shades and a great shirt (we noticed some nice cufflinks, too). He provided an ideal rock of loving support for his absolutely gorgeous fianceé. It was clear they were enjoying themselves, and that makes us extremely happy about this fantastic experience. We can’t wait to show them the resulting photos. And we’re very much looking forward to joining them for a beautiful wedding day at the amazing Onteora Mountain House.

We were super excited about getting together with Laura & Phil for their engagement photos. Laura has this really fun natural vibe about her that we love being around. And this was our first time meeting Phil, so the session gave us the opportunity to hang out with him and get to know this very easygoing groom-to-be even better. Making the session even more photogenic is the fact they are very physical together – with plenty of hugging, lifting, dipping, and even a headlock or two. Awesome!

When it came to the weather, our day with them had it all. We started out with sunshine, and towards the end of our shoot it started to pour. But Laura & Phil were up for anything, and I told them that as long as our cameras could keep shooting, we would, too. So they went out for a fun & romantic stroll in the summer shower for a completely memorable time of shooting. We were all soaked when it was over, but we were each overjoyed at how the evening had turned out. We can’t wait to show them their photos!

Shauna & Steve’s engagement session was a highlight of our week, partly because we asked us to come down to their hometown of Hoboken, NJ. We always enjoy going to this hip area across the Hudson River from Manhattan. But we had added reason to be excited about their photo shoot because this was our first time meeting them. We were booked by Shauna’s mom without their having even met us first. It always makes us feel great when the strength of our work and our boutique-style personalized service comes above all else. They rode in together on Steve’s motorcycle, and we spent the afternoon dodging a few raindrops while getting some great photos in some of their favorite places to walk together.

We’re eagerly looking forward to capturing yet more artful moments for them during their wedding day at the beautiful Onteora Mountain House.

Did we get to mention that we spent some time photographing yet another fantastic couple? Joette & Patrick are such a perfect fit for one another. Sometimes due to being nervous about working with a pro photographer for the first time, we’ll give a little help on posing or ideas on how to keep the session affectionate and fun. But none of that was needed with these two.

An adorable couple who obviously enjoy spending time together, they presented us with lots of opportunities to showcase just how much they love life and love one another to pieces. They took us to one of their favorite places to walk, and the scenery suited them just perfectly. It was like getting a look at Date Night with Joette & Patrick, only with cameras!

We are definitely looking forward to their summer wedding at Round Hill House.
