Unveiled 2009 ad Westchester Magazine's Unveiled Bridal Event 2009 Our booth at Unveiled 2009, manned by the fabulous Annie & Jason!

Each year brides come from all over to attend Westchester Magazine’s “Unveiled” bridal event. This exclusive event is a fashion extravaganza where brides have opportunity to talk firsthand store owners and designers about choices in gowns, hair & makeup, jewelry, etc. This energetic event was held at the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains, NY. Some of the area’s top service providers were there to talk about photography (including our studio), music and entertainment, limo services, cakes and confectioneries, body care, and many other services that might interest a bride planning the perfect wedding. There were beautiful models to show off the latest in fashions for brides, as well as grooms.

Not only were we very glad to be represented there with our own booth (a big shout goes out to our friends Annie & Jason, a fantastic couple whose wedding we photographed two years ago, for manning our booth), but we got to photograph the fashion show and the excited brides as they enjoyed talking, sampling, and simply oooh’ing and ahhh’ing at everything. Westchester Magazine always throws a great event. And it was great meeting so many happy brides as well as vendors.

What a complete joy it is to photograph a wedding where we run into some of our former brides & grooms again, truly some of our favorite couples! It was exactly this kind of reunion at Kimberly & Eric’s wedding.

There were big hugs for everyone when we saw Annie & Jason in attendance. They were looking just as happy and in-love as ever. Since we already know what a camera maniac Annie is, we just had to ask her to take a photo of us along with Kimberly & Eric. She was happy to oblige, and it’s no surprise that the results came out perfectly!

For “old times sake”, we made sure to take a romantic photo of Annie & Jay. We couldn’t have been happier to see them.

Someone forgot to tell us that when we’re pointing our cameras out at our couples and their guests, there will often be a camera or two pointed right back at us! LOL! At Stephanie & Matthew’s wedding we had a chance to have spend some time and have some fun with another of our favorite couples, Annie & Jason, whose wedding we photographed last year.

To our great delight, Annie has become quite the camera hound over the course of the past year. She found opportunities to get pictures of Jenni and myself.

Of course, the more excited we were about seeing and shooting one another, the more you could see it in our body language. I tend to get down low to the floor, and you’ll probably see a leg go out. Annie stands on her tip-toes, and one of her legs goes up. Here we caught one another at the exact same instant. Too funny!

I’m not exactly sure, but I think I may also have inspired Jason, who now also finds his best shots by getting down on the floor and finding some fascinating angles. Go Jay!!! I’m so proud. And thanks, Annie, for getting this last shot of myself, Jenni, Steph and Matt together.

In the end, it’s all about people and relationships. And we’re so glad to know these two awesome couples. Can’t wait to see you guys again at Kim & Eric’s wedding soon! Get your cameras ready! LOL!

Annie and Jason’s Album on the Way!

How do our couples feel about getting their “Ulysses Photography” album? We just received these fun emails from both a bride AND groom this morning, after I notified them that their album is on the way. This one from Annie:

Hey guys- thank you for the heads up. We are ssooo excited- plus- we are going away to the shore for the weekend with some friends (Matt, Stephanie, Jeff and Jackie- whom you have met) so we would love to bring it along to show them. Once Jeff gets up enough courage- you might have another wedding on your hands.

Thank you again for all of your hard work…Expect another email later today once we have torn into our package!!

We GOT it!!!!! And we LOVE IT!!! It is so perfect!! Amazing!!! I could throw a ton of wonderful adjectives to tell you how much we love it, but I think you get the point!! We are so excited to show our family and friends! Once again you and Ulysses have outdone yourselves!! We hope you know how much we appreciate all of your hardwork and talent!

We will see you in June and August at our friends’ weddings!! I hope all is well for you both!! We’ll talk to you soon!

A Wedding at Round Hill House

We are so privileged to have such a wonderful relationship with Annie & Jason. It made the entire day go so smoothly for their photography. Having had an awesome engagement session months ago and knowing they were thrilled by those results, we had little doubt that the beautiful gardens at Round Hill House would be perfectly suited for them. This is perhaps the greenest and lushest we’ve ever experienced the gardens there, so we took full advantage of it during a quiet photo session with them after the formals were done. We loved seeing the quiet intensity in their eyes, along with their radiant smiles, through the camera lens. Their deep love for one another was easily captured as they relaxed into the post-ceremony private session, which gave us a chance to play a bit and bring out the best in their day’s photos.

Annie & Jason’s Engagement

Our last portrait shoot yesterday was of Annie and Jason. Again, these two were such great sports in the cold. They did absolutely anything we asked, even rolling around on the ground when we found some irresistable tree roots for some striking and beautiful images. Those turned out to be some of our personal favorites from the session! Here is a preview in Infrared. Their entire gallery will be available shortly in the Client Proofs section of our website.
