We decided to get a closer look at the Eiffel Tower. On its northern side is the bridge crossing the Seine River leading back to the Trocodéro, and on its southern side is a long narrow park of grass and walkways lined by benches and trees. This park is where we now found ourselves.
Although it wasn’t as green on this January day as it would be during the summer, it was unseasonably warm (for January in Paris), and a walk by the Eiffel Tower was a perfect opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views, as well as enjoy one another. We saw plenty of other couples like this, in love and in their own private world.
