Getting together with Stephanie & Matt was like a happy reunion for us. We’ve photographed a few of their friends’ weddings now and had a chance to get to know them, so we were really looking forward to this session. With Stephanie’s fashionable look, her incredible smile and blue eyes, and Matt’s cool approachable presence, we knew this was going to be a great photo session.
We’re shooting a wedding today, but we couldn’t wait to post up a stunning preview from their fun e-session. We eagerly anticipate their wedding at the Poughkeepsie Grandview in 2008.

Kristina is going to school in California, so it was actually her mom who first found us while helping Kristina organize for the wedding. And we’re so glad they did! Although this e-session was our first time meeting them, we fell into a very easy rhythm of talking, getting to know one another, and having a blast during their photo shoot.
Perhaps the best thing about working with them is that they did so many little things quite naturally in the course of their showing affection to one another. We loved it and know they’ll be both surprised and thrilled to see the results.
Kristina & Cory, thanks for making the trip all the way out to meet us. There is no substitute for spending some quality time with our couples. It was wonderful meeting Kristina’s parents, as well, and we can’t wait to see the entire family for the wedding at Catlin Gardens.
Their gallery will be up very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website, so keep your web browsers ready. Until then, we’d love to see your comments for Kristina & Cory or about the pictures by clicking on the “Comments” link immediately below.

Believe it or not: We photographed January in September! Okay, I’m corny that way. I’ve been wanting to say that ever since we first met January and Glenn only a few weeks ago.
January and Glenn are a truly passionate couple. It takes only a few minutes with them to realize that they are also each other’s best friend. Their engagement session today was filled with lots of plenty of conversation as we got to know one another much better, lots of humor, and loads of romance. Their lives are so busy and filled with activity that we wanted them to feel like they were going on a “date” for the period of time that we had with them. And that’s exactly what happened. It was just beautiful watching them slow down and enjoy one another. With each of them dressed with great style, we captured some amazing moments with them. We’re looking forward even more to their October wedding at the marvelous Chateau Hathorn in Warwick, NY.
Look for their gallery soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. We think you’re going to enjoy it as much as we did. Please feel free to leave comments by clicking on the “Comments” link immediately below. We love hearing from you.

Rosanna & Kevin simply made this day happen despite a couple of kinks in their plans. We were truly excited to see this warm and super-friendly couple again. They’re both so enthused and excited about our photography. Kevin has this cool and laid-back demeanor, and Rosanna is a very talented artist full of effervescence! The combination made for a fantastic session.
Rosanna and Kevin had seen samples from some of our past bridals and “morning after” sessions, where the bride and groom get to completely express themselves despite an often unlikely environment or shooting situation, for stunning results. They wanted something like that for their e-session. We know they’re going to be thrilled with the results and can’t wait to show them the complete gallery. If this session was any indication at all, we’re going to have a blast with them on their wedding day. CAN’T WAIT!
Very soon you’ll be able to see their gallery in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Here’s a small sample of what you’ll get to enjoy.

We met Lena & Justin in person for the first time today. What a cute couple!
They were visiting from their home in Minnesota and came all the way out to finalize some wedding details and to spend some time with us for an early-morning engagement session. What a blast we had! The park we’d chosen was relatively empty and was very quiet — quiet except for us, that is. We had a perfect opportunity to simply get to know them better.
Lena wore a lovely dress she’d bought especially for this photo session. The two of them were naturals in front of the camera and hardly needed much help from us. The moments we captured were just delightful, and we can’t wait to show them the results. They were so easy and enjoyable to be around, that we know their wedding at Round Hill House is going to be a fun autumn affair!
Their complete engagement gallery is coming very soon to the “Client Proofs” section of our main website, so keep your browsers ready!

Caroline & Jason drove a ways out to shoot with us, and they brought along some incredibly cute friends: Sugar and Ziggy, their pet poodle mixes. After having a nice walk in a nearby park, Sugar and Ziggy were just as ready as everyone else for some photos and playtime!
As Caroline & Jason both have their hands full with work, they were looking forward to this little date-like session, when they could just sit and relax and enjoy each other’s closeness. We had a great time getting to know each of them better, as well. We’re looking forward not only to their wedding, but also spending another fun time with them on the MORNING AFTER the wedding. They’ve got some special plans for that day, so stay tuned to the blog for their wedding at Round Hill House this October! We’ll tell you all about it and have plenty of pictures to show you. We can’t wait.
Their online gallery is coming soon to our main website in the “Client Proofs” area, but I wanted to surprise Caroline & Jason with this slideshow preview of their engagement session photos so they can see just how fantastic they did together. Just click the PLAY button (

Heather & Tom are the most delightful couple you could meet. They enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and traveling. So when they asked us to come out to her parents’ home on the beautiful Masten Lake, we knew it would be perfect as the site for their engagement session. It was still raining when we arrived, but that didn’t dampen the spirits or the enthusiasm of anyone as we started the photo session. Just allowing them to be themselves made for pictures that were completely romantic, entirely humorous, definitely mischievous, and always beautiful all at the same time. We couldn’t have asked for a better day with them and with her very hospitable parents.
We’re eagerly anticipating their November wedding at the Eagle’s Nest.

Jackie & Chaz are the proud new owners of a log home. They live in a beautifully wooded area that is full of lush greenery. So they asked us to meet them there for their engagement session. Being full of fun and having a real passion for one another enabled them to easily adjust to our free-flowing shooting style for some really incredible moments. In fact, Jackie has done some modeling, and it made photographing her an absolute pleasure because of her comfort level in front of our cameras. We had a fun session full of laughter, silliness, and even live music! We can’t wait to see them again for their intimate wedding day. We know it’s going to be quite moving.
Their complete gallery will be up soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website, so keep your browsers pointed there.

Our engagement session with Nicole & Matt was one to remember for a number of reasons. First of all, they arrived completely ready for a session that would show off their affection and good looks, and at the same time they were casual enough to try anything we asked of them, including “lying down on the job.” They quickly realized that they could just relax into one another and enjoy the session without worrying about us or passersby. Together we produced some uniquely beautiful images.
I’m smiling as I type all of this, because this entry was almost titled “Nicole and Matt - Behind Bars!” I’m just kidding, of course. But let me explain: Towards the end of our session, we were approached by two of the park’s uniformed employees and told that we would need to stop taking pictures there and move to a different location. We did so, and we were photographing in another out-of-the-way area (where we initially told to go by a ranger) when we were approached again a ranger and sternly told to leave! We later laughed about it. Can you imagine the four of us being put behind bars for simply enjoying a amazing day of photography?
This little joke was the inspiration for the photo below. And that’s what I loved about this session. We had the chance to shoot everything that we actually wanted, but then were put into a position where we needed to be inspired and creative during a situation in which some photographers might have called it quits. But that’s not us, and it wasn’t Nicole and Matt either. They were totally game for it all, and this bodes well for photography on their wedding day!

Julie and Swaroop found us several months ago, and we immediately hit it off as if we’d known one another for quite some time. It was important to them that their photographer easily get along with a variety of people, since their families are from cultures as different as the East is from the West. But seeing the two of them together during this photo session not only allowed us to get to know them even better, but it also reaffirmed for us that the diversity of people and cultures is also one of their truest beauties. These two were meant to be together, and their genuine affection for one another was so evident in the photos.
Julie is also a photographer, so their putting so much priority on photography and the time for it is not at all unappreciated by us. We know their wedding at the Lyndhurst Castle is going to be amazing.
We can’t wait for them to see the full gallery of engagement photos, which will be available shortly in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website.
What an awesome time we had with Jamie, Paul, and their pet Beagle, Maya! We found them waiting near the Hudson River at our rendezvous point. Even though it was threatening to storm heavily, we were each confident that this was going to be a FANTASTIC day of shooting. Wouldn’t you know it… the storm clouds cleared, and the Sun actually started to make an appearance. Good thing, too, because this fun-loving couple was totally waiting to get started. Jamie has gorgeous and expressive eyes, while Paul clearly enjoys being close to her. We had such a great time with each of them. Though Maya was shy at first, I think she warmed up to us mid-way through the shoot. It was a great day!
Their wedding at The Garrison is coming up soon, and we know it will be a blast!
The gallery will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Until then, enjoy these photo previews. Even more incredible images are coming, and we know you’re going to enjoy them.

We had so much fun with Kristie & Joel that it would be difficult for us to call this one work. In fact, if anyone was working the camera, it was THEM! They gave us so many different looks that we could have photographed them for much longer than we did. From the very start, they were very comfortable with the cameras clicking away, and we all quickly fell into a good rhythm for their e-session. Conditions were also perfect for some stunning infrared photos. We think they’ll be blown away by them.
We cannot wait for their wedding at the V.I.P. Country Club so we can spend some private time with them again for photos.
Their gallery will be posted very soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website, so keep your browsers ready! And we’d love to hear from friends and family with comments on your favorites by clicking the “Comments” link below.

Ulysses and I were so excited to finally meet Nicole and Jeff, as they booked us from all the way in Virginia. They made the long drive up, and we were happy to get together for their engagement session in a beautiful park. Nicole has a million-dollar smile, and Jeff cuts a strong figure of support, so we really enjoyed their session. We had some laughs when we were in the middle of the session and the lawn sprinklers turned on (now we know what happens when we stay in the park after hours!). But it was all worth it, and we think the results are fabulous.
We really look forward to their wedding this fall at the Woodcliff Lake Hilton. Please enjoy this preview photo while we prepare the rest of their proof gallery, which will be available shortly in “Client Proofs” on our main website.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day than the one we shared with Kelly and David. It threatened to thunderstorm (and in fact poured in their own area). But by the time we arrived to meet them at a beautiful paradise-like park chosen by Kelly, the sun was out, and we had our pick of places to photograph with them. Kelly was gorgeous, having had hair and makeup done especially for this session. And David wasn’t doing too bad either. Both were truly excited about their photo session, as were we.
Our first spot to shoot was at the site of a 300-year-old tree that had fallen to the ground a year ago. Kelly discovered it during one of her walks through the woods. It made a perfect platform for them to sit and snuggle, its textures creating a perfect juxtaposition for the real focus of the photo - their affection for one another. After warming up at that spot, we wandered the park and simply had fun in flower beds, fields, and anywhere else that seemed to invite us. We can’t wait to show them their beautiful gallery of photos. We get just as excited as the couple to see the results from sessions as enjoyable as these.
The gallery will be available very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. We’d love to hear about your favorites if you’d like to comment on them.

Our weekend was a full one, and we rounded it out with an awesome engagement session with Amanda & Jason. This was actually our first time meeting them, as they had booked us long-distance some time ago. But once we got together for this perfect Spring evening, it was as if we’d known them for years. Since the sunlight would rapidly fall behind the hills along the Hudson River, we got to work immediately. The light was just perfect, exactly what we wanted for their session.
We talked throughout the entire session, getting to know one another better. Almost everyone feels nervous their first time working with a professional photographer, but these two were simply naturals. And that was key to their session — keeping a natural flow to things, while at the same time providing a bit of style and romance to their session. The time they invested with us was so well worth it, and we know they’re going to be thrilled by the results.
Since the Onteora Mountain House is one of our favorite venues to shoot, we’re really looking forward to their wedding. It’s going to be on a beautiful autumn day.

Okay, I’m going to sound rather dorky for a moment, but when we got a call from “Rachel and Ross” about their wedding, I was as giddy as any fanboy from their names alone! Strange, right? Names can certainly have that effect
With the springtime air ushering in a burst of greenery and flowers, we were each excited about getting together again for their e-session. And Rachel and Ross each did an excellent job, allowing us to shoot to our hearts’ content. Just as exciting was Rachel’s mention that they would be bringing their two Wheaton terriers, who are an integral part of their family. The terriers had only recently been groomed and were excited to spend some time in the open fields.
The wedding will be at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan, only a few short months away. We can’t wait.
Until then, we can’t wait for Rachel & Ross to see their complete gallery, which will be available later today in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. If you’re enjoying the pictures, want to send a note to Rachel and Ross, or if you simply love Wheaton terriers, drop us a note via the “Comments” link below.

Today’s e-session with Melissa & Bill was as much a family session as it was a romantic interlude for their day. They are a very genuine and personable couple, and family is clearly very important to them. They brought their daughter along with them for the session. Though she was initially shy, Jacqueline’s energy and enthusiasm won out, and we had a great time with the entire family. Melissa and Bill didn’t let the cool rainy weather prevent them from displaying their feelings for one another, and neither did it prevent us from getting fantastic images for them.
Melissa & Bill, you guys did a really good job today, and you’re going to love the results. It’s always such a privilege to have this sort of window on a family’s love and warmth. We’re really looking foward to your wedding.
We’ll have their entire e-session gallery up very soon. You’ll find it in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website.

Kylie & Scott came all the way from Maryland for their engagement session. It was immediately apparent how excited they were to take pictures. We met at the designated place on a beautifully sunny day, and after some enjoyable conversation getting reacquainted, it was off to the races!
Kylie and Scott were true naturals in front of the camera lens, and Jenni & I had a perfect afternoon with them. They were willing to try anything we asked of them, and they often took our ideas beyond what we’d envisioned, truly making the e-session very personalized. Loved it!
We cannot wait for their wedding, as they’re going to allow us plenty of time and freedom to work with some really cool ideas for their personalized wedding session. Keep your browser bookmarked to this blog!
Click the above image to see their enthused energy as they played hopscotch together! These guys got some serious “hang time” in the air. Awesome!

Even though this was our first time meeting Katherine and Anthony, we hit it off with them right away. We had a great time exploring the streets of a cool little town together during their e-session! Anthony said later he thought the photo session was going to be like school portraits (haha
), but these two totally let loose and just enjoyed being together. That’s what it’s all about! Please enjoy this preview below. Their entire proof gallery will be available shortly in the Client Proofs section of our website.

Our last portrait shoot yesterday was of Annie and Jason. Again, these two were such great sports in the cold. They did absolutely anything we asked, even rolling around on the ground when we found some irresistable tree roots for some striking and beautiful images. Those turned out to be some of our personal favorites from the session! Here is a preview in Infrared. Their entire gallery will be available shortly in the Client Proofs section of our website.
