Jennifer and Chris laid their eyes on Nicholas for the first time this evening at 6:58 pm. Although he is nearly six weeks early, he’s still a healthy 6 lbs 1 oz, plump and pink, with nice strong lungs and a strong cry to let everyone know that he has definitely arrived.
It all happened surprisingly quickly once Jen’s water broke. We were incredibly privileged not only to spend the day with Jen & Chris, but to be allowed to stay in the delivery room with them during Nicholas’ birth. Big kudos have to go out to Dr. Atkinson, Pam the nurse, and the rest of the staff for their excellent care, humor, and kindness to everyone.
We’ll have more photos of him once we’ve had a chance to rest and shared them first with Jen & Chris. But for now, say “HELLO” to Nicholas. We’d love to see your comments here by clicking on the “Comments” link at the top of this entry.

Arianna is about 2 weeks old now, and Ulysses and I had some time with her this morning to take some photos. She is just the most precious little girl. Since you’ve all been reading about her from way before she was even born, we’ll just post a couple of photos here so you can enjoy them …
Her complete gallery will be available very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. Keep on the lookout for it!

More with Arianna and her parents:
One of our favorite areas to work and play in all of New York is the Westchester region. Some of the area’s most fabulous and creative professionals are found there. Each year Westchester Magazine throws a gala party so attendees can experience over 100 of the very “BEST” in Westchester County. This year’s event was simply spectacular. It was held at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, NY, with an expected attendance of around 3,000 individuals.
When everyone arrived by car or by shuttle, they were greeted by a red carpet entrance, which we photographed, and welcomed by “Jessica Simpson” look-alike Lynsey to enjoy themselves for the evening. When they entered the VIP tent and clubhouse there was plenty of food to sample from the finest restaurants, the most awesome bands and DJs to be heard in the area, relaxing massage treatments from the best Westchester spas, intriguing products from store owners, and the best services available from a variety of businesses. It was an event not to be missed, and we’re thankful to Westchester Magazine for inviting us to photograph it!
Head over to the “Client Proofs” section of our main website, where the entire gallery of “Best of Westchester Party 2008″ photos are NOW AVAILABLE - maybe you’ll even find YOURSELF in those photos! Or visit Westchestermagazine.com, where they also have the party photos for your enjoyment.

Jasmine and Josh are very tired, but also very overjoyed that she’s finally here. She has a head full of gorgeous dark curly hair. Josh says she looks just like her mom.
Arianna weighs 6 lb, 11 oz, and she is 20 inches long. She’s just perfect.
We’ll have more later.

Maybe this is a bit premature, but we’re really excited because we just got word a little while ago that Jasmine has gone into labor. She’s pretty tired right now, and the doctor has told her to get some rest for a couple of hours before checking on her progress again in a little while.
Jenni has her camera packed and is about to head out with Jasmine for a visit to the doctor soon.
WE CAN’T WAIT!!
More news as it happens . . .
For everyone waiting for updates on our most recent weddings (especially for Kristina & Cory as well as Jacquelyn & Thomas), we’ll post those for you as soon as we’re able. Thanks for your patience.

Maya finally said “hello” to the world only a few short weeks after the arrival of her cousin, Gianluca. And what a beautiful baby she is! When we arrived for her newborn session, we found her comfortably swaddled in an adorable printed jumper. Just as we were getting started, she slowly opened her eyes to see what was happening around her. Needless to say, there were more squeals of delight and anticipation coming from us than from Maya at this point.
Her parents are just great with her. She loves to be warmly cuddled. She has Anna’s gorgeous almond-shaped eyes. And Jonathan rocks her to soothe her and to let her know everything is alright. A beautiful family.
Anna, Jonathan, and Maya, we were so glad to be able to share this photo shoot with you! We could barely contain our excitement for all of you. Your gallery is coming online soon in the “Client Proofs” section of our main website. Feel free to share the password access to the gallery with any of your friends and family.

The time flies by SO quickly! We can hardly believe it, but little Alexander is already 12 months old! It seems that every time we see him, he changes so much both in his looks and in his rapidly developing personality. And what a complete ham, too!
Alexander enjoys the camera and taking photos. He really digs pushing his cart around the house and can’t wait to ride his new toy Harley. On hot days like the day of his 12-month photo session, he couldn’t wait to get into his swimming pool. He got the most curious look on his face when he found a frog there.
But of all the things that Alex enjoys most, it’s spending time with his parents, Jesyca & Bill. They’re each so incredibly fortunate to have one another.
The entire gallery of Alex’s most recent photos will be available very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website. We love hearing from our readers, so please leave a comment.

There are few things more fulfilling for a wedding photographer than to be invited back over the course of time to watch a couple’s growing family. You can imagine our excitement at FINALLY getting to meet Vivian & John’s little baby boy, Gianluca. Only a little over a week old, we simply allowed his pace (and his meal routine) to tell us when it was time to photograph.
Vivian & John, he’s a beautiful little bundle, and we couldn’t be happier for one of the most amazing couples ever. THANK YOU for asking us to share this experience. We know that wonderful things are yet in store for your beautiful family. We can’t wait to watch him grow.

We had the privilege this week to photograph beautiful little Sevana, who is just 5 weeks old. I couldn’t believe that she was already smiling so much! She’s just beautiful, with big blue eyes and a head full of dark hair, and her parents are obviously totally enraptured with her. We just love doing these types of photo sessions. Just wait til you see this gorgeous little girl …
Her entire proof gallery will be released soon, with a password that can be obtained from her parents. Until then, please enjoy this preview, and feel free to share your thoughts with us by posting a comment. Enjoy!

After shooting a fun maternity session with Nicole & Ralph a few short months ago, Ulysses and I were so excited to finally meet little Sofia. She was born just last month, and she is simply beautiful. During our time with her, she showed the full range of emotions. I think she definitely knew the camera was on her, and she posed like a star.
Enjoy this preview slideshow. Her entire gallery will be posted shortly on our main website, with a password that can be requested from her parents. If you’d like to leave a comment for her parents or for us, please do so by clicking on the “Comments” link below!
Yesterday was the second portrait session for little Alex, in what will be a series of sessions over his first year of life.
This little guy is a star!! He did exactly what we asked, as if he could totally understand our direction throughout the whole shoot. We got tons of smiles, and we did lots of laughing ourselves! We thoroughly enjoyed watching Jesyca & Bill’s delight in their beautiful little boy.
At the end of the session, they mentioned that Bill had a special tattoo created, featuring Alex’s actual little handprints. Of course, we had to do something special with that! Right on cue, Alex turned on the intensity… isn’t he amazing?
Enjoy this preview - the whole gallery will be available soon in the “Clients Proofs” area of our main site.

Get ready to see the world’s cutest baby!! While we were in the Boston area shooting this weekend, we got to see our nephew Kobe. We did a 2-minute impromptu portrait session by a window, and Ulysses made a quick slideshow. Enjoy!!! : )
A referral from a previous bride brought us together with Sonyalis and Jim, who are expecting their second baby to arrive any day now! We had a wonderful time at their home. The living room was warm and comfortable, and the large windows allowed a lot of sunlight to poor in. They and their 3-1/2 year old son were adorable. We enjoyed a few traditionial family portraits, and they also allowed us to try a few untraditional and totally joyous things for a memorable maternity session. Sonyalis didn’t want to regret not taking the opportunity to capture herself and her unborn baby in pictures at this most precious time. We were so happy that they found us. Congratulations, guys!
Their full gallery of photos will be made available today. Go to our main website, open the menu, and click on “Client Proofs” for Sonyalis’ Maternity Session. Feel free to leave your own comments here on the blog, as we love hearing from you! Enjoy!
The second segment of our East Coast travels took us to the Boston area for the scheduled birth of our nephew. Ulysses’ brother Eric and his wife Chrissy were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second son. We arrived a few days early so that we could be there from the start. We weren’t allowed in the operating room, but we documented everything else, from the bagels and coffee that morning, to arrival at the hospital, to everyone’s first peek at Kobe’s face. Ulysses was so excited, he woke me up at 5:20 am with a loud whisper: “Jenni, get up, IT’S TIME!!” What a special thing to be a part of his first day in the outside world. Everyone is just totally in love with him.
Here is a collage of photos - you can click on it to see it larger if you’d like. If you want to see more, Ulysses also made a brief slideshow of some photos of Kobe - enjoy!

We got some fantastic family news a couple of months ago: My brother, Eric, and his wife, Chrissy, are expecting their second child! We can’t tell you how exciting this was to hear. Their first son, Malakai (nicknamed Kai), is full of energy, and he loves people just the same as his parents. At three years old, he’s got some serious personality. Eric and Chrissy wouldn’t want it any other way.
When we visited them at their Massachusetts home, Chrissy asked if we could spend some time on the beach to get some shots of their family, as well as a maternity shoot. We absolutely could NOT resist this opportunity. And what a spectacular day it was! We met them at the beautiful Good Harbor Beach in MA after having first spent some time with two INCREDIBLE couples for their engagement sessions (see our entries for Lauren and Justin, and for Meghan and Lou). So you can probably appreciate how pumped we were for this sunset session. With an intensely blue sky and calm ocean waters, we couldn’t have asked for better conditions. Quite simply, all we needed was one word to describe Chrissy when we saw her there on the beach: Radiant! And she was in love with her family.

We changed things up during our time there, taking pictures of little Kai by himself when he wasn’t watching, photographing the entire family when the scene seemed right, and we also spent some time with the couple by themselves for an occasional romantic interlude while Kai was busy digging holes in the sand. It was a real treat for each of us. There’s nothing quite like the beauty and closeness of a family waiting for their child to arrive. We captured some beautiful images.
If you’d like to see more pictures from our session, make sure to click this link to see a slideshow (PC only). Enjoy!
